Maine WoodWorks is a company bursting with color, where paint is our medium and furniture is our canvas. We have been serving the retail community since 1988 as a wholesale manufacturer and take pride in producing a broad selection of beautiful, functional and affordable built-to-order hardwood furniture. Every piece our craftsmen make is carefully bench built in our Saco, Maine woodshop using a combination of time tested and modern day joinery methods. From lifts of lumber through to the finished product, it’s all done under our roof.

Maine WoodWorks’ furniture is crafted using the finest materials and components:

• Solid hardwood exterior case ~ no veneers

• Choice of beaded or smooth composite side panels (MDF) ~ a superior panel material for painted furniture, MDF is stable, paints nicely and resists movement with changes in temperature and humidity

• Four corner English dovetail drawers with solid hardwood drawer front ~ drawer boxes constructed of full dimension (3/4” thick) solid pine with ¼” plywood bottom

A division of Creative Work Systems

• Recessed plywood back ~ back nests inside grooved leg for a cleaner appearance

• Euro-glide epoxy drawer slides ~ ¾ extension slides rated to 100 lbs per drawer

• European cup hinges ~ nickel plated self closing hinges open to 110 degrees

• 3” solid hardwood bed posts with easy set-up rail hardware ~ beds and headboards are available in twin, full, queen and king sizes.

Maine WoodWorks’ finishing process involves a primer coat and two topcoats of environmentally friendly water based acrylic lacquer, resulting in a beautiful and durable finish. Our furniture is available in any color imaginable ~ select from 40 stock colors, or have us match a custom color just for you.

SIDE PANELSAll of our furniture is bench crafted using solid poplar with your choice of composite Bead Board (BB), Barnbaord (RN) or Smooth Panel (SP) side panels.

KNOBS & PULLSShaker knobs painted in the same color as the case are standard. You may substitute any color knob, or choose a clear coat or stained (Colonial American) Shaker knob at no additional cost. Pewter cup pulls & knobs may be substituted for Shaker knobs (up charge applies).

DOORSUnits with a single door can be ordered “hinged left” (DL) or “hinged right” (DR). Television stands are available with your choice of solid panel (bead board or smooth panel) or glass doors. TV stands are also available without doors.

BEDSBeds and headboards are available in King, Queen, Full and Twin sizes. Beds include headboard, footboard, side rails and three support slats. Beds are designed for box spring & mattress set up, with the hardware mounted 6” off the ground. Headboard only units are sized for bolting on to a standard metal “Hollywood” bed frame.

• Platform Bed ~ All of our beds can be ordered as a platform bed with the hardware mounted 12 ¼” off the ground. Note: platform bed configurations will require additional mattress support ~ not supplied.

• Low Profile Footboard ~ All of our beds can be ordered with a Low Profile Footboard in place of the standard footboard (see page 9). Low profile footboards are available at 12 1/4” height for conventional box spring & mattress set up (Low FB) or at 18 1/4” height for platform bed set up (Low FB-P) Note: Platform bed configurations will require additional mattress support - not supplied.
