CONTEST SHOWCASE

July 6—July 17

This is an opportunity to practice your contest skills

and check out new contests in a virtual setting.

This contest showcase will replace county, district, and

state contests. This will not be a competition but rather an

opportunity to learn using Google Classroom.

This is the perfect time to try out new contests and prac-

tice for competitions next year. Sandoval County 4-H

Council will be putting all names of those who participate

into a drawing for a scholarship to attend a state event of

their choosing next year. One Novice, Junior, and Senior

will be selected! More details to come.

Free to Participate

PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN!

Disclaimer: The Showcase will not count as a qualifier for National level contests.

Each contest offered is a little different. When you join the Classroom, we ask that you review all the material included in

that contest. The Contest Showcase is a non-competitive event and will not score participants against one anoth-

er. However, all contests will offer feedback. Most contests will give participants immediate results of how you did while

some contests require uploads for judging. These contests will provide feedback to participants after the showcase has

closed and judges have had time to review submissions.

Prizes:

While the contest showcase will not score participants against one another, all participants in the Showcase will receive a

prize! In addition, all participants will be included in a drawing for special prizes!

Many 4-H Agents have worked very hard to provide this opportunity for our members. We hope that you enjoy it! Good

Tommy Sam, Cleveland High School Graduate. "4-H has influenced me by showing me how to make good decisions. 4-H has helped me be-come a better public speaker and has helped me with my people skills. Being in 4-H I’ve learned how to communicate more with people and how to be more open to new ideas. As a healthy living ambassador I’ve learned how to teach kids how to be more ac-tive and be healthier. 4-H is awesome because it’s taught me a lot of important life lessons and has changed my life." In Tommy's spare time he loves to ride bulls and rodeo. Congratulations Tommy! It has been awesome seeing you grow in confidence, public speaking, leadership, and as an overall person. What a great 4-H adventure.

Dream big, the sky is the limit!

Iris Gordo, 2020 High School Graduate,

"All these years being in 4-H has brought

good memories and lessons. 4-H has taught

me responsibility and leadership. Going to

county camp, county contest, and SLR were

great experiences.

I love camping out for the Fair. Most of all I

love working with others. Especially the

youth and getting to know new people. Now

that I graduated I want to go back to school

at Job Corp for welding. I want to help our

club more in the future.

“I'm glad I got to experience 4-H and for

everyone that helped me all through the

years. Thank you."

Congratulations Iris. We are so proud of you!

We know Paula has a smile on her face!

where she was involved with soccer, National

Honor Society and French National Honor Society.

She has been in 4-H for 7 years and filled several

roles within the Corralitos Club including Club

President.

Her favorite project was Dairy Goats as she

learned so much about the year-round effort it

took to breed, raise, milk (twice daily), clean pens,

negotiate the sale of and nurture all of her goats.

She also enjoyed raising swine and market goats.

Kate plans to attend Texas Tech University this fall.

Kate is so grateful for all that she learned in 4-H,

the incredible people that supported her and the

deep relationships she formed with her fellow 4-

Hers.

Congratulations Kate! You are an amazing indi-

vidual, follow your passion and share your sparkle

wherever you are.
