Heavy Water Board (Mumbai) came up with a new project in calibration with the RCF chembur with a solvent extraction process for recovery of heavy metals from Phosphoric Acid.

Functional Responsibilities in Projects & Maintenances:

Engineering Stage: Preparation of Equipment Layout, Piping Keyplan, Nozzle Orientation. Verification & Implementation of Isometric with respect to P&ID Verification of various Equipment with respect to Design, Drawings for both metallic and non-

metallic. Inspection of various equipments Rotary Dynamic, Static Equipments (Pumps, Agitators, Tanks,

Mixer settlers) Preparation of Technical speciation, Document required for the lineup of various contracts. Preparation of QAP for both Metallic and Non-Metallic piping. Verification of equipment drawing with Civil foundation drawings. Preparation of schedule of erection of various equipments as per the equipment delivery sched-

ule.Erection Stage:

Erection of various static equipments as per the Equipment Layout and Nozzle orientation draw-ing.

Erection of Piping as per isometric drawings, Nozzle orientation. Co-ordaining with Instrumentation for the insulation of Flow Meters and Control Valves. Following up of QAP for various piping both Metallic and Non-Metallic. Hydro testing of various loops for completion of QAP and handing over the lines to Process. Commissioning of various static and Rota Dynamic Equipments. Co-ordaining with Instrumentation for the insulation of various instruments.

Maintenance: Maintenance of all Static and Dynamic equipments. Planning, scheduling and execution of PM checks for various static and dynamic equipments. KHAMMAM CHEMICAL REFINERY (Manuguru) is an unit of Heavy Water Board, Department of Atomic Energy in the industrial sector for the production of Heavy water by H2S ↔ H2O by thermal process It is having a Captive Power Plant for uninterrupted power supply for the production. It consists of three boilers & three turbines

Functional Responsibilities in Power Plant:

Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of coal based pulverized fuel generators & turbine coupled generators

Monitored functioning, break down and preventive maintenance of complex rotating machines such as steam turbine through out the process and initiated immediate action in case of operational default of turbine & boiler

Reviewed the performance of Boiler, Turbine - Generator and other auxiliary systems as a part of energy conservation and review the operation manuals, P&I Diagrams as per latest modifications.
