My magazine Proposal

Who specifically are you aiming your magazine at ?

My magazine is aimed at young adults aged 16 to 25 who have an interest in R&B/ HipHop and the lives of those who sing, rap and produce the music genera they are highly interested in.

What will your magazine be about & what cover line ideas do you have?

My magazine will be filled with information, juice gossip and pictures of well known R&B/HipHop artist as well up and coming artists. •latest hits • whos dating / breaking up with who •the life of one of the biggest names in R&B Nathaniel Jacques. Cover line ideas- Nj's interview with REEL2REAL and exclusive interview The history of R&B/ HipHop What will your magazine be called and why? Originally i was going to go for the name Rhythm and Beat, but felt that the name didn't link to what the magazine was about nor did it have a ring to it so the readers wouldn't remember the name. In the end i settles with REEL2REAL because it was something different with a meaning behind it. As music was once recorded and sold on caste tapes and played of a reel the name REEL2REAL made most sense as if the music and stories behind them where no long just on the tape but now brought to REAL life in articles written and based of real interviews with the music artist.

What are your tagline ideas?

Live, Love, Music R&B is never going to be dead, its just going to evolve

How frequently will your magazine be published?

My magazine will be published at the beginning and middle of every month. As the music world never stops and there is always something, someone on the rise my magazine will have to be able to keep up with it all once enough is to far part as it will be

competing with other magazines who may be offering similar stories and information as mine and that could lower the amount of people purchasing my magazine.

What kind of images do you plan on having on the front cover and throughout the magazine?

My front cover image will be of a male (Nathaniel Jacques top of the R&B industry ) staring into the camera with a slight grin on his face, as this issue will bases on the history of R&B/HipHop it made most sense to have an iconic R&B figurer on the front as he is also well known people would want to pick up/ purchase the magazine to see what its about.

For my double page spread there will be more images of my young male in different poses as it will be about him and his climb to success. What colours will you use throughout my magazine?

Throughout the magazine ill use three colours that i feel work best together and allow text and images to stand out at there best in order toCatch readers attention.
