Kristina Padilla, MA, IMF, LAADC, ICAADC, CGSDirector of Business Development, Director of Education, and Chief Academic Officer for CCAPP Academy.

Kristina Padilla is the Director of Business Development for the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), Director of Education for CCAPP Education Institute, and Chief Academic Officer for the CCAPP Academy. Ms. Padilla led California’s innovative criminal justice program serving as the Offender Mentor Certification Program Director for three years where she managed 12 in-prison programs for training counselors. She worked closely with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) in California prisons bringing innovation and growth to the state’s in custody treatment programming. Ms. Padilla is an Addiction Technology transfer center (ATTC) Trainer. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. Ms. Padilla is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LAADC), an International Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (ICAADC), and a Certified Gang Specialist of the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCRC). She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and their Allies (NALGAP); Advisory Board for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Sacramento Board; Chair of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Association of Addiction Treatment (WAAT); and the Native American Training Institute (NATI) Advisory Board.

CCAPP LGBTQIA2+ CertificateDecember 4-6, 2019

Like everyone, LGBTQIA2+ people want health care and affirming work environments where they are welcome and respected. LGBTQIA2+ people generally experience higher rates of HIV infection, depression, suicidal behavior, homelessness, smoking, and substance use while facing barriers to access inclusive and affirming care. This course is a new 3-day training intended for any organization in contact with LGBTQIA2+ individuals (including mental health and substance use disorder clinicians, HIV providers, state, local and county government employees, primary care providers, public health practitioners, prevention specialists, community based organizations, school teachers, and counselors).

This workshop helps all organizations and employees of all walks of life to improve their LGBTQIA2+ friendliness, education 101, terminology, and understanding of the history and the lifestyle/culture of the population.

A LGBTQIA2+ Certificate will be issued once the full completion of the course on the last day.

Must complete all 21 hours to get issued a CCAPP LGBTQIA2+ Certificate.

No prerequisites. Anyone can take this course; you don’t have to be certified or licensed.
