The Mercado de San Antón is a different concept from the traditional market of food, they have restored the former market of the neighborhood of Chueca transforming into place on a market of delicatessen food with a zone of lids of different parts of the world and flavors into the second floor, also there is a restaurant the third and last floor with a terrace type chill out where to enjoy a mojito both in summer and in winter the heatings - chimney of the market. El Mercado de San Antón is all decorated with porks on several parts due to his collaboration with the prestigious house of Spanish ham 5J. A good place to enjoy food of great quality and variety in a great environ-ment. And very advisable for the lovers of the lids and the good food in good company.

Lolina Vintage Café is a coffee bar at the day and pub at night that is in the famous Malasaña's neighbor-hood, inspired in the 50s, 60s and 70s with furniture and identical original papers of every epoch. A place in the one that you can have a coffee calmly, as well as have mojitos in the night, even to eat, to have dinner or to lunch one evening in a surrounding atmosphere of many years behind. En Estado Puro is a restaurant with one new concept as for the traditional lid. The prestigious cook and owner of the site, Paco Roncero, has decided to create this project to take the lid to another level, and for it, he does elaborated plates, of discharge he cooks in the shape of lid, rapid at the moment of serving and within reach of all due to his economic price. Eating there is really nice and there is a great variety of lids for all the tastes and ages. The design of his interior plays with the typical Spanish comb, so much using it in the walls as in the decora-tion of pictures that form a part of the interior. An elegant place as well as sarcastic and entertained to have a good evening or night of lids with friends.

Happy Day Bakery is a bakery which was set in the 50’s situated in the heart of Malasaña. People work there to provide fresh cakes, muffins every day. They are specialized in cupcakes, muffins and cakes, but also notable for its wide range of American products imported from USA. In the store you can listen to American music of the 50’s which converts the room into a magical atmosphere. They also have a small window in which they serve hot dogs with all sorts of condiments. Also the inside of the bakery is very cozy with lots of colors and it transmits joy when you are there. In adittion, they also sell books and gifts and have a catering service for events, weddings and parties for the kids.

A cozy and nicely decorated with details creperie.. You go and you feel like you disappear of Madrid and you get into Parisian life. Everything and every corner of the creperie is decorated in that way that it appears you are in Paris. The crepes are impressive. There are for all tastes: salty, sweet, and also with meet.The essence of flavor of the crepes, remains for several minutes. The place is mostly of crepes and smoothies, so if you enter and ask for a cup of coffee, they look at you very strange. Also we can say that the place is very small because there are only two tables and some chairs. So if you come and you haven’t place don’t worry, you always can make an order to take ir home.Our recomendation is eat the crepes there, because when you enter in the creperie, you feel like you are in the center of France.

It also serves teas, packaged juices and other things, but particularly it is specialized in the sale of ground coffee. Speaking about the design, we can say that th very old machine to grind and a lot of old equipment to grind coffee, play a big role in the importance of the design. The products we can buy are ordered in a way so that it gives a special point to the design.

This is one of those places that fascinate. You feel yourself privileged to have discovered this place. Panta Rhei is much more than a bookstore. It’s a place full of treasures. At Panta Rhei, behind every object there is a history. There are many incredible different editions of photography, design, advertising, illustration, fashion, urban, art, music, crafts and many more...Fascinating comics, interesting books of poetry and essays, graphic novels. Also a children’s section for young children and a large selection of small books and curiosities of all kinds that always surprise and gives a smile. All the books that have Panta Rhei, are in “paper” format, something that isn’t common nowadays with the new tecnologies that we have. The now called the Romantic Museum recreates the lifestyle, art and customs of S. XIX.Its origins date back to 1921, when Benigno de la Vega-Inclán y Flaquer, II Marquis de la Vega-Inclán (1858-1942), gave the state a significant body of paintings, furniture and properties. These funds were set up in a building constructed in 1776 under the direction of architect Manuel Rodriguez.The opening of the Museum took place in 1924, with works by its founder, to which were added donations and deposits from personalities of the day, as the Marquis de Cerralbo, or articles of great writers, such as Mariano José de Larra.Over the years, the collection has been enriched with all kinds of acquisitions, donations and deposits.

Museo Sorolla

Housed in the former home and studio of the painter Joaquin Sorolla in the last eleven years of his life, the museum was created by testamentary disposition of Sorolla's widow, Clotilde García del Castillo, in 1925 and officially opened on 11 June 1932.The current museum building was built in 1911 and the Valencian painter directly involved in the organization, separating the family home of the working area, consisting of three studies in chains, and modifying the design of the facade.Besides the exhibition of his paintings, visiting different parts of the house, with its valuable collections of sculptures, furniture and ceramics, helps us to experience the atmosphere that served as shelter for this artist, known for his paintings of the beach.
