Madison County 4-H April 2019 Newsletter
April 2019 Registration is Required for all 4-H Events and Activities

Baldwin Community Club – This Club is always open to new members! If you like making arts and crafts and want to help others when you can, call to find out more!

4-H Rabbit Club - This is the club everyone is hopping about! If your child has an interest in rabbits this is the perfect club for them. We will learn how to care for and show your rabbit. Rabbits welcome!

Poultry Pals – If you are interested in learning about poultry, this is the club for you. You do not have to have chickens, or other birds to be involved in this club. New members (ages 5-18) are always welcome.

Cloverbud Horse Club – A horse club for kids ages 5-8 who love horses or just want to learn more about them. You do not have to have a horse to participate. An adult must stay with the participant.

4-H Saddle Club – Open to kids ages 9-18 with and without horses. Participate in an educational program and a horse related craft.

4-H Means Business - At our next meeting on April 23rd, we will have a guest speaker from a bank come to talk about how to open accounts, interest, and loans! You won't want to miss this one.

Cloverbud Club - This club is for youth ages 5-8 where members will complete a different activity at each meeting such as cooking, craft or a fun hands-on activity! A parent must stay.

Service Club - Service Club will be meeting at McCready Manor Senior Living Center in April for a popcorn social! Service Club members will serve popcorn and are also asked to prepare and present some jokes to the group for entertainment.

Dog Club - If you want to learn more about your dog or your puppy then this club is for you. This club teaches simple commands to help build a better relationship with you and your dog. Check the Madison County KY 4-H Facebook page about bringing your dog! (Club is for ages 5-18)

Middle School Club - This club for middle school age students that meets once
a month! Participants will get to participate in activities to improve their Leadership Skills, Nutrition Knowledge, Cooking Sills, Community Skills and more!

Project Pollinators Club - We will learn about insects, mammals, and birds
who help the process and we will be planting pollination gardens! No meeting in April—will meet again on May 9th at 5:30pm!

4-H Shooting Sports
Our 4-H Shooting Sports
Kick-off will be held on
Monday, April 8, 2019 at
6:00 p.m. at the Madison
County Extension Office
on Duncannon Lane,
Richmond.
This is a potluck so please bring a side dish or
dessert. Must be 9 years old to participate in
the Madison County Shooting Sports program.
We will be recognizing our winners from last year at this event!!
