Purpose

The purpose of the promotional video is to raise money by putting a major fundraising event on to make people donate there funds to the charity. They did this promotional video to show what it is about and what they do there in order for more people to come and donate but have fun at the same time.

Meaning

The meaning of this promotional video is to lure all different kinds of businesses into donating to the charity. Evidence of this is at the end when they are saying they wont to continue this event. This means they want people or businesses to donate so that they can continue changing peoples life's. They use quad screens to show how hectic the day is. It doesn't show the bits where they might be stood in a queue for hours. They use this to show the excitement the children can have. Like face painting and sliding down bouncy castles.

Form

The whole idea is to have fun. It’s a tea party for disabled children to let loose and have fun also the parents and careers can have a rest while enjoying beverages. The videos duration time is 5:09 seconds. They have mascots there for the children and also they have famous people there who support the charity. They also have facilities that the children can play around on while parents can interact with other parents.

Content – Camera , Mise-En-Scene and Editing

The camera angles you have throughout the promotional video are quick follow ups. It is documentary style for parents to view. They have loads of cut outs and also they have loads of close ups when they talk the the parents and the children with there face painting representing they are having fun. The fundraising event was held in the botanical gardens in Birmingham in 2008. the costumes that were included was Disney costumes including Snow white , Madhatter etc.. They used monkey journey to the west music for the background music. They edited the video using voice overs which are when the voice of the person is still heard when they are looking at something else . They use graphics and quad screens . Quad screens is used when they show multiple kids on the screen using 4 sections. They did this when the kids were having fun , jumping around etc..

Genre and Audience

It’s a promotional video raising awareness. It is to inform businesses and people what the charity does. It is targeted for 35 to 45 year olds.The intended audience for this video is Businesses and corporate business and males and females. Its class A-B audience.

Music
