Let’s see an example about the life of LEONARDO DA VICI (1452-1519)

LEONARDO DA

VINCI (1452-1519)

BIOGRAPHY:

He was born in Vinci (1452), and he died in 1519.

He was a painter, sculptor, architect… he was very

good at maths, engineering…

He painted ‘The Last Supper’, ‘The Mona Lisa’…

He invented his own machines and he made

beautiful drawings of those inventions.

He knew a lot about human body anatomy.

He was one of the most important characters of that

times.

PROJECT 2: (In groups or three or four pupils)

Design and build (with recycling materials) a complex machine using some of the six simple

machines that we have studied:

Wheel and axle / Lever / Screw / Inclined plane / Pulley / Wedge

You can design by yourselves or you can get some ideas from books, internet…

You can record a video, or you can bring them to the class, and explain their functioning to your

classmates.
