With macarons, we want to give you the opportunity to make responsible decisions with and for your children and the world they live in. Therefore, we work according to fair and ecological principles, creating individual and unique design.

Our collection 05 aims to inspire and encourage your children to dress and express individually. Subtle colors like deep royal blue, warm honey and earthy gray shades underline with sophistication macarons classics. Glowing reds, bright blue and a stunning persimmon melt into the collection like splashes of color. New patterns in fine woven fabrics add elegantly to the formidable unicolor double face knit creations. As a new outdoor innovation we have developed our organic LOTUS-TECH cotton fabric that is beautifully soft and light but in its function fully water repellent.

Sich zu schmücken ist ein dem Menschen ursprüngliches Bedürfnis und spiegelte in früheren Zeiten stets seine kulturelle Identität wieder. In unserer heutigen, sich immer komplexer gestaltenden Welt wird Kleidung zunehmend Ausdruck der eigenen Persönlichkeit. Auch unsere Kinder streben nach einem freien und individuellen Ausdruck. Unsere Kleidung markiert gleichzeitig den eigenen Blick auf die heutige Welt. Hiermit wächst auch der Anspruch, insbesondere für unsere Kinder, an fair und nachhaltig produzierter Mode.

Unsere Kollektion 05 soll Ihre Kinder dazu anregen sich indi-viduell zu schmücken und auszudrücken. Die Farbwelt ist mal leise und klassisch anmutend mit warmem Königsblau, dunklem Honig und erdigen Grautönen und plötzlich kraftvoll mit Rot-tönen, leuchtendem Blau und atemberaubenden Persimmon. Behind the small and exclusive accessory collection cfm (cécile for macarons) stands the collaboration between macarons and the well-known knit artist and designer Cécile Feilchenfeldt.

The Swiss-born and studied textile designer creates the fine, specially knitted accessory treasures like collars, head-bands and bonnets in her atelier in Paris. All these unique pieces are hand-made by the artist herself on her knitting machine exclusively for macarons.

Cécile’s creations are always adapted to children, soft in touch and elastic to fit all sizes. Inspired by yarns and their materiality Cécile selects beautiful natural materials such as fine cotton, soft wool or luxury yarns such as angora and cashmere. Experimenting with new fibers, the develop-ment of new colour combinations and her great know-how of various, almost forgotten knitting techniques are her greatest creative pool. In her work you can always find unexpected and playful effects. The cfm line for macarons stands for beautiful, soft accessories that animate to play and inspire the imagination of children.

For our collections we exclusively use natural fibers without chemical content that we source accor-ding to the highest fair trade and ecological standards from renowned spinning groups in Germany. The fine and luxurious organic virgin Merino wool comes from South America. The thick and soft organic cotton for our jersey articles and the insides of our doubleface wool innovations originates from South Africa. We select with great care the highest quality yarns according to the GOTS standard. Furthermore we control and coordinate all production steps from the yarn selection, dyeing, knitting and weaving and finishing to the cutting and final production of all items in Germany and Switzerland. Each macarons fabric tells its own story from quiet to loud, soft and delicate, structure, flow, function, rediscovery, innovation and the general love for great natural fabrics.

A fabric to love just as the delicious Macarons treat: a perfect protective outside and a beautifully soft inside. This fabric innovation is the astonishing result of a long and ambitious development with our knit production in Germany. The result is a luxurious and functional winter outdoor doubleface fabric. IQ-FABRIC is characterized by its protective and warm boiled wool exterior and the wavy and soft cotton interior.

Bereits ein echter Klassiker ist dieser weiche, zarte Baumwoll MACARONS RIPP Jersey. Schön flexibel und pflegeleicht kommt er vor allem für unsere Babykollektion zum Einsatz. Dieser Stoff wird nach unseren vorgaben in Deutschland gestrickt und nach GOTS Standards in österreich mit kleinen bunten macarons digital bedruckt. Es gibt ihn in einer frischen Jungs und Mädchen variante.

FLAT KNIT

Für alle, die es lieber etwas ruhiger mögen: Ein schöner Doubleface Glattstrick mit Wollaußenseite und farblich leuchtender Baumwollinnenseite. vor allem für unsere Babykollektion verwenden wir diesen weichen FLAT KNIT, da er völlig naturbelassen und unbehandelt ist. Schützend und wärmend ist er perfekt für empfindliche Babyhaut geeignet.

JACQUARD JERSEY

Dieser handfeste, mittelschwere Jersey Stoff aus Baumwolle ist eine weitere Entwicklung aus dem Hause macarons. Als Zeichen für oberste Qualität wird das grafische Muster nicht auf den Stoff gedruckt sondern nach selbst entwickeltem Mustercode auf Jacquard Strickmaschinen gestrickt. FLAT kNIT

For all that prefer a more classic and moderate look: a beautiful doubleface FLAT kNIT with an organic virgin Merino wool exterior and colorful organic cotton interior. Particularly for our baby collection we use this super soft and completely natural fabric that is perfectly suitable for the touch of delicate baby skin.

JACQUARD JERSEY

This firm and solid jersey fabric made out of 100% organic cotton is another great macarons development. As a sign for its superior quality and style, we knit the pattern according to our designs on Jacquard knitting machines in-stead of simply printing it on the fabric. From this comfor-table and warm jersey fabric we manufacture our popular leggings, t-shirts and bodys for babies, girls and boys.

MACARONS RIPP

This soft and subtle organic cotton jersey is already a real classic. This stretchy and easy to wash fabric is primarily used for our baby collection. The MACARONS RIPP is knit in Germany and digitally printed in Austria with a small, colorful and cute macarons style print all according to the GOTS standard. The MACARONS RIPP is available in a cool baby girl and baby boy color composition.

Ursprünglich von britischen Spezialeinheiten eingesetzt, überzeugt dieser Stoff durch seine erstaunlichen Eigenschaften, die erst auf den zweiten Blick zum Tragen kommen. Denn im Griff ist er so herrlich samtig weich und glatt, dass man ihn am liebsten auch innen tragen würde. Und doch ist er nach gut gehütetem Geheimnis so unglaublich dicht gewebt, dass Wasser als Tropfen auf der Oberfläche abperlt und auch eisiger Wind keine Chance hat. Aus 100% biologischer Baumwolle ist unser LOTUS-TECH ein wahres Allroundtalent.

SILKY COTTON

Auf der Suche nach dem perfekten festlichen Stoff in Premium-Bio Qualität für alle wichtigen Anlässe des Lebens wie Geburtstage, Taufen und Hochzeiten haben wir SILKY COTTON entwickelt. Genauso edel anmutend wie ein Seidenstoff ist dieser glatte, fließende Baumwollwebstoff, den wir mit unserem Schweizer Partner entwickelt haben. Er ist herrlich leicht und sehr festlich, lässt sich aber deutlich einfacher pflegen wie Seide und eignet sich somit perfekt für unsere hochwertige Baby- und Kinderbekleidung. Für diesen GOTS zertifizierten Stoff verwenden wir besonders weiche langstapelige Baumwolle.

PATTERN ROYALE

Entwickelt mit unseren Partnern in der Schweiz ist dieser GOTS zertifizierte Premium Baumwollstoff besonders edel und luxuriös. Gewebt im kompliziertem verfahren zeigt er ein feines Hahnentritt Muster in einer edlen Königsblau/Weiß Farbvariante. Der Stoff hat eine gute Festigkeit, so dass er alltäglich oder festlich zum Einsatz kommen kann. Die Innenseite ist leicht geraut, so dass der Stoff zusätzlich schön weich und wärmend ist. Aus diesem Stoff haben wir in dieser Kollektion tolle Hosen für Babys, Mädchen und Jungs, sowie einen bezaubernden Baby Overall entwickelt.

This fabric receives lots of Ohhs and Ahhs: Another brand new macarons textile innovation. This amazing LOTUS-TECH is a Swiss made 100% organic cotton woven fabric exclusively for our new outdoor parka PHIL. Originally used by British special forces, the astonishing qualities of this fabric only come to effect when exposed to water. In its touch this cotton fabric is so soft and smooth that one would want to wear it on the naked skin. And yet the LOTUS-TECH’s weaving technique is so special that water repels from its surface and freezing wind finds no way through. Made from 100% organic cotton, our LOTUS-TECH has star potential.

SILkY COTTON

On the search of the perfect fabric for special occasions such as birthdays, baptisms or weddings we created SILkY COTTON. This beautiful, flowing woven cotton fabric is exclusive and luxurious in look and touch just as a silk fabric yet much easier to wash and handle. SILkY COTTON is light and festive and therefore the perfect textile for our new line of baby and kids special occasion dresses. This Swiss made woven fabric is made from extra long and soft organic cotton according to the GOTS standard.

PATTERN ROYALE

Developed with our Swiss partners, this GOTS certified premium organic cotton fabric is particularly precious and luxurious. Woven with complicated techniques it shows a derivation of a houndstooth type pattern in a noble royal blue/white color composition. The PATTERN ROYALE is both soft and firm to be used for both special occasions or for everyday use. The inside is slightly roughened to give it an even softer and warmer touch to the skin. In this collection we developed stylish pants for babies, boys and girls as well as a new and beautiful baby play overall.

FAMILY BUSINESS

The family in business is very significant for macarons. Along with the founders and owners of macarons, husband and wife duo Julie and Veit kohlhoff, Veit’s mother Claudia kohlhoff works as Creative Director with her valuable experience as a textile collector and architect.

They are smal l, colorful and irresistible: Macarons, the delicious French pastry. Exactly like macarons’ products: small, as it is fashion for babies and children; colorful, because kids love colors; and irresistible due to the fact that we only use ecological, 100% organic materials made by macarons. Womit alles begann …

Es gibt ein macarons Kleidungsstück, welches den Beginn der macarons Geschichte ebnet: unser Overall OKI. Auf der Suche nach einem warmen Babyoverall stellen die jungen Eltern Julie und veit fest, dass die meisten modischen Outdoorprodukte für Kleinkinder aus synthetischen, steifen Materialien bestehen und ökologische Kleidungsstücke aus Naturfasern unmodisch und wenig inspirierend sind. So entsteht die Idee zur Entwicklung eines neuartigen Overalls, der gutes und schnörkelloses Design, Funktion und rein natürliche Materialien in einem Produkt vereint. Overall OKI bildet den Ausgangspunkt für die Entwick-lung der ersten Kollektion. Nach über einem Jahr Entwicklung entsteht der Overall OKI, ein langlebiges, hochwertiges Out-door Kleidungsstück für Babys und Kleinkinder bis zum Alter von drei Jahren.

Das prämierte, asiatisch inspirierte Design mit großem umleg-baren Kragen ist elegant und formt dank cleverer Schnitttechnik perfekt die Silhouette des Babys nach. Praktische Hand- und Fußklappen sind eine beliebte Funktion für kalte Tage. OKI ist aus unserer Innovation IQ-FABRIC, einem zweifarbigen, gewalkten doubleface Strickstoff gefertigt. Diese selbstent-wickelte Stoffneuheit besteht aus biologischer Merinowolle auf der Außenseite und biologischer Baumwolle auf der Innenseite, streng nach GOTS Kriterien entwickelt.

Die intelligente Kombination der Naturfasern garantiert, dass IQ-FABRIC die Temperatur im Innenraum des Kleidungsstücks perfekt reguliert und Feuchtigkeit absorbiert. Die gewalkte Wolle auf der Außenseite garantiert zudem, dass OKI schmutz-abweisend ist, was ihn besonders für Kleinkinder eignet. Die weiche und farbenfrohe hypoallergene Biobaumwolle der Innenseite ist beruhigend und sanft zur empfindlichen Baby-haut, insbesondere im Nacken und Halsbereich. Babys lieben zudem die gekräuselte Stoff-Textur, die ihre haptischen Sinne anspricht.

Where it all began ...

There is one piece that formed the starting point of the macarons story. Overall OkI was developed out of the need for that one perfect piece of outdoor clothing that covers the child entirely in a warm, natural and flexible shell with the highest approach to design and comfort. We developed this idea for over a year until we got the fabric just right and the look simply irresistible. Then finally we had it and overall OkI was born, a long lasting, durable and high quality garment for babies and children up to the age of three years.

The awarded design combines countless functionalities, comfort and a fabric innovation. The refined design with kimono style front, big foldable collar and elegant back shapes the baby’s silhouette beautifully. Practical hand and feet fold-ups are an additional warming instrument for cold days. OkI is made out of our fabric innovation, the IQ-FABRIC, a doubleface, double colored, boiled fabric with organic and fair trade virgin Merino wool (GOTS) on the outside and organic and fair trade cotton (GOTS) on the inside.

The wool/cotton doubleface fabric regulates temperature and humidity like no other fabric and absorbs moisture while letting your baby feel dry and comfortable inside. Our IQ-FABRIC is also considerably stain resistant, which makes Overall OkI particularly useful for toddlers. The ultra-soft hypoallergenic organic cotton inside also ensures, that the wool does not irritate your baby’s skin. All materials and fibers that are used to create macarons products are carefully chosen and processed along the strict criteria of the GOTS. Even when very small, baby’s feel and love the ruffled fabric texture, which appeals to their haptic senses, while parents enjoy the creative color combinations, allowing for a more colorful or subtle look.
