Rites of Justice by Megan McKenna discusses each
sacraments origins in scripture, how they are practiced
today, and how they connect to the way we live our
lives.
Tim Grays Sacraments in Scripture guides the readerthrough the Gospels to show the importance of each
sacrament. A review at the end of each chapter is in-
cluded for your own study.
The Essential Catholic Handbook of the Sacraments is
an easy to use guide which discusses each sacrament. It
contains a dictionary of key terms and a section of tradi-
tional and contemporary prayers.

RCIAINQUIRY: Have you ever had questions about theCatholic Church? How do you become a member of theCatholic Church? For those not baptized, baptized in anotherChristian church, or baptized Catholic but inactive in thechurch, please call 760-547-0702.
RCIA FOR YOUTH: A very important part of our YouthFaith Formation is the RCIA adapted for young people. TheRCIA is for those young people who have not been baptizedor wish to enter the Church from another Christian faith com-munity (i.e. Baptist). In our world today many young men andwomen do not have the opportunity to stay in one place longenough to belong to a Catholic parish. Others find in theCatholic Church something more fulfilling than the Christiancommunity into which they were born.

ASSIST WITH A BIBLE: At the Easter Vigil our parish com-munity witnessed forty five people receiving the sacramentsnecessary to complete their full entrance into the Church.One of the key elements of their catechesis is the coming toknow the Scriptures, the Word of God, on a weekly basis. Dur-
ing class during the week and again when they gather on Sun-day they come to build a relationship with Jesus Christ thatthey will carry with them for all their lives.
For this to take place the RCIA catechumens & candidatesare given a Bible at the ceremony marking the beginning oftheir journey of faith. Our parish faith formation budget isstretched this year trying to cover many, many, needs. Yourhelp will be greatly appreciated if you could help us with pro-viding Bibles to our RICA groups (both English & Spanish). Adonation of $20.00, or any amount, would help us in purchas-ing a Bible for each RCIA catechumen or candidate enteringthe Church next Easter. If you wish to give, you may make adonation at the Parish Office, in Bill Bischoffs office, or drop itinto the collection in an envelope marked BIBLES. Any help
you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you have any ques-tions call Bill Bischoff at 760-547-0702.Many of the people coming into the Church have many
questions about the place of the Blessed Mother in the life ofthe Church. In their time spent in RCIA many times a strongdevotion to Mary comes about for the new Catholic. There-fore a need for an adult rosary to be given to them is also aneed in the RCIA process. A donation of $10.00 will help inacquiring rosaries for these individuals. The Churchs global culture, the beauty of its art and archi-
tecture and the goodness of its people are highlighted. Fr.Robert Barron makes the teachings of the Church quite un-derstandable.

RICA PARA JVENES ADOLESCENTES
Una parte muy importante de nuestra Formacin de Fe
para Jvenes es el Programa de RICA adaptado para gente
joven. RICA es para aquellos jvenes que no han sido bautiza-
dos o que desean entrar a la Iglesia, provenientes de otra
comunidad de fe Cristiana (ej. Bautista). En el mundo nuestro
de hoy en da muchos hombres y mujeres jvenes no tienen
la oportunidad de mantenerse en un lugar el tiempo suficien-
te para pertenecer a una parroquia Catlica. Otros encuen-tran en la Iglesia Catlica algo ms satisfactorio que en la co-
munidad Cristiana dentro de la que ellos nacieron.
Aquellas personas que deseen inscribirse en el proceso de
RICA, necesitarn inscribirse en el Programa de Formacin de
Fe de Preparatoria, la misma inscripcin como la de Confirma-

CURSO DE EVANGELIZACIN:VIDA Y MISIN DE LA IGLESIA
Este curso se basar en un estudio general del Documento
Aparecido, donde el Papa Juan Pablo II nos deca que La
Evangelizacin no puede realizarse hoy sin la colaboracin de
los fieles laicos y que deben ser parte activa y creadora en la
elaboracin y ejecucin de proyectos pastorales a favor de la
comunidad. Esto requiere una mayor apertura de mentali-
dad para que entiendan y acojan el ser y el hacer del
laico en la Iglesia, quien por su bautismo y su confirmacin,es discpulo y misionero de Jesucristo. En otras palabras es
necesario que el laico se tenga muy en cuenta con un espritu
de comunin y de participacin (N. 213).
