WHAT IS A MAMMOTH? A mammoth is an ancestor to the African Elephant. The mammoths is like a furry elephant in the arctic. They are full of fur and eat grass with their trunks.

WHERE DO MAMMOTHS LIVE? Mammoths live in the ice age with cavemen, furry

hogs, antelope, and some lakes and grass lands. Mammoths were hunted for food and shelter. They mainly lived on glaciers, ice patches or

anything that was consisted with ice and/or snow.

DO MAMMOTHS HAVE PECULIAR BODY FEATURES? Mammoths have many peculiar body features. They have big feet, humps on their backs, weigh a TON,

they also have tusks to fight with and trunks to eat with and show affection.

WHEN DID MAMMOTHS COME TO OUR PLANET? Mammoths came to our planet thousands of years ago

during the ice age. They lived in Siberia by the rivers and lakes that was

frozen.

DID MAMMOTHS HAVE INTERESTING LIVES IN THE ICE AGE? Yes, the mammoths did have very interesting lives. Surviving was hard for the mammoth because, they were

hunted by cave men and they weighed so much that the ice melted and some got trapped.

CAN MAMMOTHS LIVE AGAIN? Yes, mammoths can live again, because their ancestors

are still alive today. One of the close mammoth ancestors is the Asian

Elephant.
