Helping young Australia’s aged 16-25 years navigate life’s challenges
What/who is TINO
• Youth website about life’s challenges• Discussing topics that matter to them
– Mental health– Alcohol and other drugs– Sexual health– Relationships– Body Image– Bullying
• Over 80 topics in total• Multi format information
Project Structure
• Funding by Lions Australia
• Operate out of Hobart
• 1 paid p/t consultant
• 1 paid p/t website developer
• Budget above op costs - $0

Evolution
• We have morphed and changed since we started back in 2007
• TINO as you know it now started in 2010
It started with a p..
• Podcast’s made by young people for young people discussing health and wellbeing topics
• Aim was to get out new podcasts regularly
• Aimed to cover wide variety of topics
• Internet based dissemination
Production workshops engaged young people but content generation was slow

In times of need we don’t need a brick wall
It became clear that working alone with our limited resources, it would be hard to get all aspects of the concept off the ground.

• Young people are checking out our content, watching, reading, listening and getting info that helps them but engagement back is minimal
