Show of Hands?
• Heard of ?
• Made a call over 3G? – Was it a good experience?
• Made a call over Wi-Fi?– Was it a good experience?

Why Call-via-work is good for you!
• Lync is enterprise technology (not Skype) and the expectation is for a consistent good quality experience– Private Wi-Fi or WAPs that support VoIP QoS
are often cost prohibitive and potentially outweigh the benefit of PSTN
– public Wi-Fi is often unavailable and over-subscribed
– 3G is equally, if not more so, unreliable and often more expressive than PSTN
• Voice (and video) over IP for mobile will undoubtedly become a standard in the near future, but not without improvements to public network infrastructure
VoIP? PSTN?
