America’s east coast offers the lot – from unmistakable urban landmarks to some of the world’s most famous beach vistas. As your EF Discovery™ journey forges southwards, you’ll be introduced to some of the most important stops on the eastern seaboard – learning the essential language skills you need to survive along the way.

Your starting point is Boston, where you’ll get the chance to explore the city’s rich multicultural and colonial heritage. Your adventure continues south to New York, one of the most iconic settlements in the world. Snap some photographs and test your language skills on the streets as you discover the best this modern metropolis has to offer.

The next stop on your journey is Washington, D.C. – home to key US political monuments and fascinating museums – before you catch a flight to the tropical climes of Orlando, Florida. Here, you’ll use your new language abilities in the real world as you experience the world’s most famous theme parks and relax on the beach before heading home.

DAYS 1-2: THE BEST OF BOSTONAnyone who’s familiar with Europe will feel right at homein this old American city. Steeped in history, you’ll find colonial culture come alive on Boston’s streets, with its grand parks and squares. With an EF Leader by your side, you’ll explore thered-brick delights of the city center along famous Newbury Street, checking out some shops and ordering a snack along the way. You’ll even take to the water for a classic Boston Duck Tour and then reach for the stars at the Prudential Skywalk Observatory.

DAYS 3-4: HELLO, NEW YORK!From Boston, you’ll travel on towards iconic New York. In the so-called ‘city that never sleeps’ you’ll take a tour to see the top sights including the 9/11 memorial, Chinatown, Little Italy and more. Making time to stop and practice your language skills, you’ll investigate the Empire State Building at night. After a night in the ‘Big Apple’ you’ll wake up looking forward to exploring the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park – and the adventure’s not over yet: catch a Broadway show before you depart this unforgettable city.

DAYS 5-6: FROM PHILADELPHIA TO WASHINGTON, D.C.Journeying through the Virginian countryside to Washington, D.C., you’ll pause at majestic Mount Vernon for a photo opportunity above the Potomac river. Later, you’ll take a Legends of Alexandria tour by candlelight and hear folklore and ghost stories to round off an exciting day of travel. In the morning, it’s time to explore the other essential sights that America’s capital city has to offer.

It might be the home of some of the world’s most important political decisions, but Washington D.C. is an exciting city where history and culture combine to offer an unforgettable experience. You’ll see sights you’ll instantly recognize – including the iconic White House – and even some sights you might not have expected. What’s more, you’ll make a pit stop at some some local boutiques to test your English along the way.

DAYS 7-9: AWESOME ORLANDOAfter a quick flight down to the tropical climes of Florida, you’ll arrive atthe world-famous destination of Orlando, known as the home of unmissable theme parks. You’ll explore a host of must-seeentertainment attractions, from the 21st-Century technology of FutureWorld to the excitement of Universal Studios. In fact, you’ll get to spenda whole day enjoying everything that Universal Studios has to offer, including the Islands of Adventure and the mysterious corridors ofHogwarts at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Other favoritesinclude Shrek, The Simpsons and many more.

Once you’ve had your fill of Universal Studios, you’ll get the chance tovisit the Kennedy Space Center. It’s an out-of-this-world experience,where you can stand on the site of real-life rocket launches and seewhere the crafts themselves are built. After two days of exhaustingexcitement and putting your language skills to good practice, you’ll enjoy some spare time to relax in paradise at Cocoa Beach, one of themost beautiful spots on the coast, before heading home with a camerafull of souvenir snaps and a head full of unforgettable memories.
