A week of Celebration in the Lower School

Nursery through Grade 5 students had a wonderful time watching and dancing with the professional Brazilian performers on Tuesday afternoon in the cafeteria. Thank you to all Brazilian families who helped make this event possible. It was a wonderful way to introduce students to Carnaval!

The 2018 Winter Olympics are underway in PyeongChang. Throughout the week, students and teachers have enjoyed watching some of the games and celebrating the wins of their home countries and favorite teams!

In addition to celebrating Chinese New Year, Kindergarten classes celebrated Valentine’s Day on Wednesday by making special cards for friends, family members and teachers!

The SCIS community gathered together in the Theater on Wednesday at 1:00pm to celebrate Chinese New Year. The assembly featured student performances, as well as a traditional Chinese Dragon Dance, Kungfu presentation and Chinese Yo-Yo demonstration.
