RESOLVED, that the resolution of this Board speoifingthe duties and salaries of certain constables, which resolution wasduly adopted on the first day of January, 1932 be reconsidered andrecinded in so far as it purports to set forth the duties of thefollowing constables, to wit.

An adjourned regular meeting of the Town Board and Boardof Highway Superintdndents of the Town of Cheektowaga, N.Y. heldfor the purpose.of hearing charges placed against constable PeterRohr, on Monday June 20th, 1932 at 4 oclock P. M. with the fol-lowing members present, .

Constable Rohr again asked for an adjournment untilafter the 4th of July on the grounds that one of his witnesseswas unable to be present before that time, but did not state, whothis Witness was or what bearing his testimony had regarding thecharges placed against him.

By a vote of six to one the board denied any furtheradjournment to constable Rohr, and the Town Attorney was dirootedto proceed with the hearing.

Constable Rohr, then walked out of the hearing withoutputting up any defense or making any explanation why he was leaving

The board then proceeded to hear the testimony of ChiefWohlford, who stated that Constable Rohr, on or about the 5th dayof May 1932, did absent himself from duty as a police officerwithout authority and did so absent himself until on or about the6th day of May 1932 in violation of orders and did co~duct himselfin a manner unbecoming a police officer.

After hearing the testimony of Chief Constable Wohlfordand after the board had deliberated on the charges againstConstable Rohr the following resolution was offered for adoption.

RESOLVED, that because of the mis-conduct of ConstablePeter Rohr, on or about the 5th day of May 1932 he be and he herebyis dismissed as a constable and peace officer of the Town ofCheektowaga, N.Y.

The vote on the above. -resolution resulted as follows:PaWlak, Faber, Piatek, Sturm, Eberl and Zalemski, voted fordismissal, Milne voted against dismissal, summary of vote, ~for

dismissal and 1 against dismissal.

Supervisor Zalemski declared the resolution duly adoptedand Constable Peter Rohr dismissed from duty as a constable of theTown of Cheektowaga, N.Y.

On motion of JUdge Pawlak, seconded by JUdge Faber, thefollowing resolution was duly adopted.

Supervisor Zalemski sta'ted that the hearing was now op~nand directed the Town Attorney to proceed. (The balance of thishearing is now in the hands of the stenographer and will be addedto the records when it is reoeived from him) the hearing beingolosed, the Supervisor invited the members of the Town Board tohis ohamber to deliberate, on the said o~arges and testimony aspresented.

On motion of Pawlak, seconded by Eberl the Board thenadjourned until Monday June 27th, 1932 at, 3 o'olook P.M.
