The Lamb and the wolf

A lamb lived with his mother in a jungle. The lamb was very naughty. Every day when the mother went out to get food for them, she would tell the lamb not to go out as there were many wild animals which would harm him. But the lamb would go out without telling his mother and played in the jungle. He came back before his mother could return. One day when the lamb was playing alone in the jungle a big, bad wolf saw him and his mouth watered. He wanted to eat the lamb. He slowly came near the lamb and just as he was about to catch him, there was a big shout RUN. The lamb got scared but could recognize his mother’s voice. He ran with all his strength and his mother ran beside him. With great di culty they reached their home. They were red but happy that they were safe. Before mother could say anything the lamb hugged her and cried and said sorry. The mother consoled him. She asked him not to go alone. The lamb learnt his lesson and never went out alone a er that.
