Why pursue God’skind of love

above all else?

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

8 Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

8 Love never FAILS.

It does not mean that

Love alwayssucceeds

It does not mean that

Love neverresults in pain

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

But where there are prophecies, they will

cease;

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

where there are tongues, they will be

stilled;

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

where there is knowledge, it will

pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:8-139 For we know in part and we prophesy in

part,

1 Corinthians 13:8-1310 but when

perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

LOVE is the safest course of action for now.

1 Corinthians 13:8-1311 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.

When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

LOVE is the surest sign of spiritual maturity now.

1 Corinthians 13:8-1312 Now we see but a

poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall

see face to face.

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am

fully known.

LOVE is the strongest evidence of knowing God now.

1 Corinthians 13:8-1313 And now these

three remain: faith, hope and love. But

the greatest of these is love.

LOVEis the greatest gift of God now and forever…
