Lost I ran - I shouted the sky was dark black my brother was missing I couldn't go back. People sat excited, food being shared, while I remained searching, saddened and scared. I began to look harder "I'll find him!" I said, and of course, there I saw him, his four year old head. I called to my family, we rejoiced with glee as he turned and smiled, looking at me.

Lost

I ran - I shoutedthe sky was dark black

my brother was missingI couldn't go back.

People sat excited, food being shared,

while I remained searching, saddened and scared.

I began to look harder"I'll find him!" I said,

and of course, there I saw him,his four year old head.

I called to my family,we rejoiced with glee

as he turned and smiled, looking at me.

My Mother Made a Snowman

My mother made a snowman onA wet November day

She shocked me when I asked her toCome out with me and play

We bundled up in winter woolsPulled on our knitted mittens

Donned vivid scarves in red and blueAnd boots our feet could fit in

Together we rolled up the snowSo white and wet and stickyWe didn’t want it to melt soWe had to make it quickly

My mother made a snowman thatWas better than a toy

I’ll think of it forever forIt filled me with such joy

YuckI stepped in something yucky

As I walked by the crick.I grabbed a stick to scrape it off,

The yuck stuck to my stick.

I tried to pull it off the stick,The yuck stuck to my hand.I tried to wash it off – but itStuck to the washin’ pan.

I called my dog to pull me loose,The yuck stuck to his fur.

He rubbed himself against the cat,The yuck got stuck to her.

My friends and neighbors came to help-Now all of us are stuck,

Which goes to show what happensWhen one person steps in yuck.

BoatsWe're having boats for dinner

What a lovely thing to eat. We're having boats for dinner

Bet I could eat a fleet.

I run into the kitchenJust to give my Ma a squeeze

Cause we're having boats for dinnerInstead of fish and peas.

But when I open up the oven? Not a single yacht or dinghy.

We're having boats for dinnerBut they're made out of zucchini!
