Accommodation We base most of our groups at the fantastic Hotel Current in Long Beach. This Los Angeles Hotel features art from local artists. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, shuttle service, continental breakfast, free newspapers and free wireless internet.

In addition to the on-site art from local talent, the Hotel Current is also near many other cultural locations. The Museum of Latin American Art and Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens are near the hotel. Other popular attractions include Harbor Breeze Whale Watching and Gondola Getaway boat cruises.

Each room at the Current in Los Angeles features a mini-refrigerator and premium cable television.

The Boardwalk Looking for things to do in Venice? The world famous Venice Ocean Front Walk (aka “the boardwalk”) beckons. The boardwalk is one of the best places in L.A. for people watching—everyone from colourful locals to visitors from around the globe.

There’s something for everyone on the concrete boardwalk: on one side there are specialty shops, restaurants and uniquely designed residences, and on the other a myriad of street performers, artists, fortune tellers and much more.

Venice Beach Venice Beach is one of many great L.A. beaches, and the acclaimed Venice Breakwater is a favourite local surf spot. It is located north of the Venice Pier and Lifeguard Headquarters and south of the Santa Monica Pier. The breakwater is the only place on the beach where waves break on both sides.

Go Surf LA offers beginner and intermediate lessons all year long at Venice Beach. Lessons are offered seven days a week, and run 90 minutes. Wetsuits and soft-top surfboards are included with each $80 fee.

Venice Beach Recreation Center Besides surfing, other iconic Southern California activities can be found at the Venice Beach Recreation Center, which features a number of facilities located between Ocean Front Walk and the bike path, Horizon Ave. to the north, and N.Venice Blvd. to the south.

The center includes several children’s play areas with a gymnastics apparatus, as well as handball courts, tennis courts and volleyball courts, all unlighted. The outdoor basketball courts are renowned for games that feature some of the best street ballers in the

The $2-million Venice Beach Skatepark opened in 2009 is one of L.A.’s many excellent skateparks. Located on the sand near Windward and Ocean Front Walk, the 16,000-square-foot facility features a variety of street skateboarding elements.

A concrete bowl evokes the empty Venice and Santa Monica swimming pools where the legendary Z-Boys would skate and revolutionise skateboarding in the 1970s.

The Venice Beach Skatepark is free and open from 9 a.m. to sunset. Safety gear is required.

Muscle Beach Venice Hardbodies and spectators alike congregate at the workout mecca, located at the south end of the Venice Beach Recreation Center.

“Muscle Beach” also refers to the numerous gyms and fitness studios in the area. Foremost among these is the original Gold’s Gym, where Arnold Schwarzenegger and other legendary bodybuilders pumped iron in the 1970s.

Today, Gold’s Gym is considered a sports landmark and was once ranked No. 39 on ESPN’s list of America’s 100 most important sports venues.

TCL Chinese Theatre opened as Grauman's Chinese Theatre on May 18, 1927, with the premiere of Cecil B. DeMille's The King of Kings. The Hollywood landmark has hosted many movie premieres since then, as well as three Academy Award ceremonies and numerous events.

Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel opened on May 15, 1927, it was named for President Theodore Roosevelt, the hotel has welcomed generations of VIPs, from legends of Hollywood’s Golden Age to today’s hottest stars.

Hollywood Forever. Even your permanent resting place can be a status symbol — and no cemetery proves that better than Hollywood Forever. Tons of celebs and semi-famous types are buried on its grounds, from old school movie stars and publishing titans to rockers and even a couple of gangsters.

Santa Monica Pier: When you think of Santa Monica, the attraction of the Pier inevitably comes to mind. Its red and yellow Ferris wheel is a city icon.

The Pier offers Pacific Park, a full service amusement park, combined with plenty of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, as well as an entertaining arcade. Pacific Park’s solar-powered Ferris wheel is the only one of its kind in the region.

Capitol Records Building Located just north of the famed intersection of Hollywood and Vine, the 13-story tower, which resembles a stack of records, was the world’s first circular office building when it was completed in April 1956 and ever since has been one of the most recognisable features of the Hollywood skyline since its construction in 1956.

The skyscraper hosts the Capitol Studios, where the likes of Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, and Nat King Cole have all recorded music.

Today, the busy studios still host a range of A-list artists and performers. Though the interior is closed to the public, the Capitol Records Building still features on many tour itineraries, including walking, bike, driving, and even helicopter tours. It’s also possible to view the landmark during a customised private tour.

The Griffith Observatory is one of L.A.’s greatest cultural attractions, offering spectacular views from the Pacific Ocean to Downtown L.A. from its perch on Mt. Hollywood in Griffith Park.

The observatory and accompanying exhibits were opened to the public in May1935. In its first five days of operation, the observatory welcomed more than 13,000 visitors. Today, the Griffith Observatory is renowned as a national leader in public astronomy, and a beloved gathering place for visitors and Angelenos alike.

The Griffith Observatory's grounds, exhibits, and telescopes are open and free to the public each day the building is open. The observatory also offers programmes, special events, and public “star parties.”

Malibu. Stretching along the Pacific, Malibu is a beach town like no other. Hollywood stars and top athletes escape to oceanfront homes on long strands of beach considered to have some of the most perfect waves anywhere,

Malibu’s Surfrider Beach was the first World Surfing Reserve; nearby Zuma Beach is a sun magnet for locals and families. You can shop for beach fashions, and maybe even spot one of local celebs, at the Malibu Country Mart and Malibu Lumber Yard, two adjacent and upscale retail centres. There’s dining and fishing on Malibu Pier and in winter, Point Dume at Malibu’s north end provides an ideal perch for spotting gray whales.

Thursday: Depart on your transatlantic flight for LAX arriving late afternoon. After you clear customs you will be met by our local representative who will take you to the van rental office where you will pick up your rental vehicles.

You have a choice of 15, 12 or 8 seater vehicles, or a combination of all three; whatever suits your groups needs. All vehicles come with automatic transmission, air conditioner, AM/FM radio, CD Player, 150 free miles per day, an additional driver, full insurance and GPS navigation system.

After you pick up your vehicles you will travel to the hotel. You will have the remainder of the day free to relax, unwind and settle in to that California lifestyle!

Friday: After breakfast the team will travel to nearby soccer fields for a light training session and then in the early evening we will arrange your first Friendship match against a local team. This will give your squad an early opportunity to find out what it’s like to play against an American team.

Saturday: A free day to explore the local area. As you are ‘self drive’ you are free to go where you want to. Our local representative is on hand to make some suggestions.

Sunday: Your second Friendship Match will be played today. All matches are arranged against teams of your own ability level.

Monday: Today you can enjoy all that the Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks has to offer.

Tuesday: A more relaxed day today as you head towards the water for a tour of LA’s vibrant coastal communities.

Check out the muscle builders pumping iron at Venice Beach, and stroll between the colourful stalls and child-friendly rides of Santa Monica’s iconic pier.

Finish the day with a relaxing visit to the sugary sands of Malibu, where million-dollar homes crowd the winding coastline, to get breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Your third and final Friendship Match will be played this evening.

Wednesday: Your final day so it’s time to get those last minute gifts and what better place than Citadel Outlets

One of the best outlets in LA, it brings a long list of strong brands under the same roof. there is also a nice food court to have a break during shopping.

The Mall has every kind of store imaginable including Armani, adidas, American Eagle, Asics, Boss, Calvin Klein, Clarks, Crocs, Disney, H & M, Levi’s, Nike, Old Navy and Vans. As this is an Outlet Mall all of the prices are a lot cheaper than in the regular stores,

Thursday: It’s time to say goodbye to Los Angeles today as you head for the airport and your return flight.
