SENIOR REGENT’S MESSAGE
Hi, this is your Senior Regent, Bobbie.
Wow here we go into December, al-
most a new year. November was a
busy month for us. To start off the
month we had our annual salad luncheon, Fashion Show,
chaired by Rita Zenkus. It was very well attended. The
ladies and 2 very young models modeled clothes from
Kohl’s Department Store. Good job ladies.
The Following weekend on Sunday the 9th , the College
of Regents held a special ceremony for 4 of our colle-
gians. Janie Hood as our new collegian, Jeanette
Hayhurst-new Red Tassel, and Sally Despain and Shirley
Hicks-new Red Stoles. Thank you all who came to wit-
ness this impressive ceremony. It was great to have
some of the LOOM members in attendance. Thank you
guys.
We had our Fall Dinner/Dance with the Déjà band and to
climax our busy month our Craft Show chaired by Lorrie
Cote’. It was a big success. Thank you Lorrie. Great
job.
Thank you all who baked, sold and brought baked goods
each Sunday morning before Thanksgiving. We will be
having a bake sale again at the Lodge in December on
Sunday mornings. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Come out to see what delicious baked and candy items
would interest your sweet tooth.
Mark your calendar for December 20th Dinner/Dance.
We are having a very special raffle prize that our late
brother Don Overmire made, a treasure chest with all
sorts of treasures included. We welcome any donations
to fill it. Lets make this a night to remember.
Hunk of the month is Harold Sanchez. Thank you so
much your wonderful raffle prizes you donate to the
WOTM.
Moosette of the month is Shirley O’Neal. Thanks so
much for all your help were ever its needed.
Starting in December we will be accepting letters of in-
tent for our new board of officers for the coming year.
Nominations will begin on January 8th 2015. Please have
your letters of intent in before that date.
Thank you to all of our co-workers who have helped to
do what we do best, taking care of our
kids, seniors and community. Have a
wonderful and blessed Christmas and a
Happy New Year.
Have a blessed day
Bobbie Olivar: Senior Regent
GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE
Hello Everybody
It’s hard to believe December is here
already!
I want to thank James Pedigo and his crew
for another successful Thanksgiving Dinner
at the Lodge. Once again they out did themselves. The food
was excellent and everybody enjoyed themselves. November
also saw us welcome our three new Fellows Dave Benner, Russ
Cote', and Shawn Delong. November also featured our Annual
Craft Show. Once again Lorrie Cote' did a wonderful job with
organizing the whole event and making sure it was a success.
Forgot to mention that on November 9th we honored Sally
Despain, Janie Hood, Shirley Rivera-Hicks, and Jeanette
Hayhurst for their latest achievements. Congrats Ladies!
As far as December goes here are a few things going on during
the month. On December 4th, Bill Thompson and Larry Salem
are having another Extravaganza Dinner. I went to the last one
and let me tell you the food was top notch. December 13th is
the Christmas Stroll on Plumas Street from 2pm to 9pm. Please
stop by our booth and say hi.
We also could use some people to help sell and serve food and
let the public know what we are all about. This is a good time
to get new members.
On December 20th is the kid's Christmas Party from 12 noon to
3pm. Then the WOTM dinner dance is at 6pm. We will be
serving pork loin and all the trimmings prepared by Russ Cote'
and myself. There is no Wednesday night dinner on Christmas
Eve. On December 31st is our New Years Eve Party. The menu
is Beef Wellington with twice baked potatoes. Tickets are on
sale now.
I’ve filled the following vacancies on my board. Ken Jordan
was appointed Administrator and Joe Zenkus was appointed to
the position of Treasurer. Bob Hovey will now head the Audit
Committee. Gerry Sevenau was appointed as the Assistant Le-
gion Secretary for the Lodge. Thank you gentlemen for step-
ping up and helping out.
We are currently looking for a Social Quarters Manager. We
have a couple people in mind but I would like to see if there are
more people interested. It is a voluntary position. For informa-
tion, please see Ken Jordan in the office .My Super Moose for
the Month is Fred Bogdanoff who keeps our Heating and Air
and Refrigeration running smoothly. Thanks
Fred !!
In closing I just want to wish everybody a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

From the Administrator’s Desk:
Administrators Report
Well it's almost the end of the year wow!! Hope you had a wonderful time. We
at the lodge were very busy getting things in order. Floors that were refinished, chair
coasters inspected and replaced, rugs shampooed, roofing fixes before the rains come,
cleaning the chairs in the back room, replacing all of the CFL lighting with LED low
wattage lamps saving the lodge money on our electric bill, and general cleaning in and around the
lodge. THANK YOU to all who helped get things done. This is just some of the projects we completed
since I took over as your administrator back on September 16, 2014. Next we are painting the bath-
rooms, pressure cleaning the bathroom floors, cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom. Sounds like a
lot, yes, but we can do it. With your help things get done.
With Christmas upon us I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy New
Year. We are planning several dinners for you to celebrate the season. Be careful and be safe. We want
to see you in the years ahead.
In January the lodge is having an all you can eat CRAB Feed so save room after the holidays
for some crab or shrimp.
As you enter the lodge this December look at all of the decorations that Debbie Phillips and her
crew of elves created for your enjoyment. Remember that we are going to have a New Years eve din-
ner the menu is beef wellington and all the trimmings.
If you have a idea or question about the lodge stop by the office and we will listen or try to an-
swer your questions.

FUNDRAISING
We finally found rims that work and thanks to Ruben we have new trailer tires! We still need
one more propane tank. A 7 gallon with the triangle valve is what's needed. We have a couple
of tanks donated but unfortunately they could not pass inspection and can't be filled. So if any-
one can help it would be appreciated. We will also need a large stainless steel sink and table to
finish up the prep and clean up area. We will need a fire extinguisher for the trailer with the
mount if possible. Ideas, suggestions and donations are always appreciated. On Thursday, 4
Dec we are putting on a Dining Extravaganza dinner to help fund the BBQ and Lodge pro-
jects. We will have fresh hand cut steaks, ribs, pot roast, shrimp scampi, surf and turf, chicken,
etc.. A huge Thank You goes out to all that have helped and supported this effort!

CAMPING CLUB REPORT
We just returned from a great camping trip on the Yuba River off of Hwy 49. Great weather, awesome food and su-
perb camaraderie! This was our last trip for the year for our Moose Camping Club and what a fun year it was! From
the scenic beauty of the coast to awesome lakes and rivers along with great fishing, way to much food, and really good
company. Send in your ideas for where we should head next year. We start up again in March after the snowbirds
return and the weather warms up.
