Thanks to You!An Extraordinary 10 Year Journey~ Driven by CROYA’s need to grow, the CROYA youth researched, held focus groups, and worked hand-in-hand with numerous boards and commissions. Two years later, with plans in hand, students partnered with caring adults who believed in their dream. Together they not only successfully built the Student Union, but also, and most importantly, ensured a legacy in which future kids will forever have a safe place to learn and grow. FOR THIS WE THANK YOU ALL!

Today~CROYA offers over 300 hundred annual programs for 7th – 12th graders living in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The core of each program is in developing individual leadership skills, self-confidence through self-awareness, tolerance, and the importance of service to others. The unique elements of the Student Union include; large gathering spaces, a main stage, a gaming area, classrooms with computers, a recording studio and control room, a dance/wellness studio, a student store, and most importantly, a safe place where youth can now gather after school and on weekend evenings.

Since the opening of the Student Union, CROYA has partnered with numerous community organizations to ensure fiscally responsible growth and meaningful opportunities for our young adults. Some of the new and notable partnerships include; Lake Forest College, ELAWA Gardeners, local YWCA, and The Union Music Project (designed to engage local adult musicians to perform with, and support young musicians).
