Milka. The last square
MILKA knows that the best piece of a chocolate is always the last square of chocolate. Continuing with their brand
message “Dare to be tender”, they have created an interactive promotional tactic so the consumers can send this last
piece of chocolate to a loved one.
The consumer buys a bar with the last piece missing and entering the website can choose to have the last cube sent to
them, or they can choose to have it sent to someone else, thus sharing the love and demonstrating an act of
tenderness.

Galaxy s4: the Smart Phone Line
For the launching of the Galaxy S4 in New Zealand, Samsung created the ‘Smart Phone Line’ so people could line up
virtually to become the very first person to get the new phone. Once they’re in the line, all they had to do was share the
S4 features that were released every day, the more they shared, the further up the line they went! It was broadcast life to
an electronic billboard turning the virtual queue into a real line.

Mini: Not Normal
To celebrate the Not Normal relationship Mini fans have with their cars, Mini came up with several actions including a
digital out-of-home campaign with seven large digital screens on London’s Cromwell Road that displayed a
personalized message to Mini drivers as they passed. They also gave the drivers an experience they could take away
such as a nice breakfast or a free tank of petrol that they could collect from a Mini-branded roadside stop after the
digital screens. We bet their day was Not Normal at all!

Virgin Mobile wants to retrain your brain with Blinkwashing. You have to activate your webcam so it detects your
blinking movement. The video starts off with a straightforward introduction about Virgin Mobile’s new plan and
how not switching to Virgin mobile is your brain’s fault because not many people know enough about the
company to trust it. But then you start blinking and videos start switching and it gets pretty crazy.

The Faces of Facebook
The Faces of Facebook is an online app that has scanned the public profile images of each member, which equates to
one seventh of the Earth's population, and its makers claim that if you were to browse all of them individually it would
take 36 years, 5 months, 9 days, 6 hours, 46 minutes and 16 seconds.
Each face has been added to the site in chronological order, based on the date in which they joined the site, and if a user
connects their account to the app, it will tell them their Face Number.

Heineken: Crack the US Open
Heineken found a cool way to use Instagram for their sponsorship of the US Open. Using the mobile Instagram app you
are invited to join a scavenger hunt. Scan the tennis crowd pictured in more than 250 separate Instagrams. Then
hashtag the correct picture and you might find yourself among the spectators at the real US Open Men’s Final. While
you can check out the pictures on Heineken’s Instagram web page, the game really makes more sense by playing
Hawkeye on your mobile phone.

Colleague got something stuck in her teeth, but you're too embarrassed to point it out? Just send her a tweet via
Colgate, using the brand's There's Something In Your Tweet service. Created to support the introduction of the new
Colgate Slim SoftTM/MC toothbrush in Canada, it'll send an anonymous tweet to any Twitter user alerting him or her to
the stray food. Colgate says they'll thank you for it since a National Politeness Survey conducted for the brand
by Ipsos confirms that more people want to know about food stuck in their teeth than are willing to tell others about it.

Intel: Look Inside-Jack Andraka
Intel's new brand platform, "Look Inside," hopes to, through a series of short films, encourage people to look within
themselves to find what makes them special. The first film tells the story of 15-year-old Jack Andraka who, after losing his
uncle to pancreatic cancer, invented an early detection method for cancer that won Grand Prize at the 2012 Intel
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

Coca-Cola: Mini me (3D printing)
Coca-Cola promoted the release of its new mini bottle by inviting consumers to create mini versions of themselves via
a gamified mobile app. Users who kept their virtual, pint-sized selves happy and healthy were invited to Coke’s Israel
headquarters. There, they stepped inside a special lab to create “mini me” figurines. A 3D scanner photographed each
person in minutes before transforming the images into a 3D model. Then, high-resolution 3D printers were used to
create the tiny keepsakes.

Open Street Map: Building Age NYC
This is an interactive map of Brooklyn created by using Department of City Planning resources to plot 1,053,713
buildings in New York City, shaded by year of construction. You can scroll over each individual building to see when it
was constructed, or you can take a wider look and see how new development has swept through parts of the borough,
bypassing others. Or you can pick out the oldest buildings, look them up, and realize that they're all churches. No
matter what you do with this map, it's pretty cool.
