Convenor MessageI hope to bring together a good programme that stimulates both our clinical knowledge and scientic intellect. This will be through a
combination of interesting lectures and engaging "hands-on" workshops that will enrich our current knowledge and clinical skills.
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells. It can affect almost any part of the body. The growths often invade surrounding tissue
and can metastasize to distant sites.
Many cancers can be prevented by avoiding exposure to common risk factors, such as tobacco smoke. In addition, a signicant proportion of
cancers can be cured, by surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, especially if they are detected early.
Welcome to the 4th Global Cancer Summit 2020
Dr. Kodaganur S. Gopinath,Chairman,

4th Global Cancer Summit-2020 (GCS-2020) with the theme "LIVING WITH CANCER IN THE
21ST CENTURY" is schedule on 26th and 27th November 2020 at J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian
Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
The Conference is being jointly organized by BioGenesis Health Cluster, Global Cancer
Foundation and Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India. The 4th Global
Cancer Summit-2020 is the Central Congress, where Cancer Researchers from over 60
countries, in different stages of their careers, come together to discuss the latest developments
in Cancer Research and Treatments.
The Focus of the Conference is on Cancer Stem Cells, Cancer Basic & Applied Research Tumor,
Anti-Cancer Drug Discovery, Clinical Oncology and Personalized Cancer Medicine. It will give
us novel insight into the complexity of the connections between Cancer and Metabolism
&Immune Checkpoints, to deliver an outstanding program with the right balance of clinical
relevance, which covers the entire spectrum of practice issues in Cancer Research and
Treatments.
Global Cancer Summit will host the Award Ceremony for the prestigious Edward Kennedy
Memorial Award- 2020 in the areas of Experimental, Translational and Clinical Cancer
Research, respectively.
Global Cancer Summit-2015, Bengaluru, India, II Global Cancer Summit-2017, Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia and III Global Cancer Summit-2019, Dubai, UAE. The delegate survey, 98%
of the respondents mentioned they would recommend the event to a colleague. This result
emphasises the high level of satisfaction that the event generated amongst its participants.
Amongst the listed Conference highlights, the high quality of the plenary sessions and their
presenting speakers were the clear winners, followed by some specic experts who have
inspired their audience. The vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of the Global Cancer Summit
also enthused largely through its ability to facilitate connections and networking opportunities.

Dr. Roberto Lipszteinthe current role of radiation in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies and discussed the data supporting its use. Radiation treatment in this setting continues to evolve with the increasing implementation of more conformal delivery techniques. Further scientic investigation is needed to establish the optimal role of radiation and to better dene its integration with novel systemic and biologic modalities.
