Construction of HARO LinoleumFloor

Application areas Natural yellowing

Colour differences

Linoleum often comes with aslight natural yellowing, which isalso referred to as a “yellowshade” or “yellow haze.” Thisshade is caused by the naturalingredients during the productionof linoleum. It will disappear within a fewdays or weeks after installation, depending on exposure to light. The floor will then display its full, rich colour. Due to this naturalproperty of linoleum, it is essentialto ensure that sample collectionsand surfaces are properly lit inorder to avoid possible misun-derstandings in the choice ofcolour. The figure on this pageillustrates the effect of naturalyellowing.

Slight differences in colour andstructure between the differentproduction lots are inevitable dueto the mainly natural ingredientsused in the manufacturing oflinoleum, and are even considereda “certificate of authenticity.”The HARO LINETT cartons there-fore are marked with a lotnumber.
