To address this, we are giving you a second cung opon. The instrucons in the paern are NOT incorrect and create a great layout. But, if you want a second way to cut out the blocks and get another look, these instrucons work, too. If you choose this opon, then do not follow the cung instrucons in the paern. Follow these instead. In addion, we have loaded mulple blocks into Quiltster. They can be switched out to get different layouts, just be sure you know which block you have chosen before you start. You will know because of how the Geese are moving in your block and what the background fabric is. So, if your geese are moving counterclockwise, then Unit A was sewn into the center. If the geese are moving counter-clockwise, then Unit B was sewn in the center. UNIT A IN THE CENTER: If the geese in the center are moving counter-clockwise and the background is the opposite color of the square in the center of the Log Cabin, use the Paern. If the geese in the center are moving clockwise and the background is the same color as the square, use this insert. UNIT B IN THE CENTER: If the geese in the center are moving clockwise (Unit B) and the background is the same as the square in the center of the Log Cabin, use the paern. If the geese are moving clockwise and the background is different than the square in the center of the Log Cabin use this insert. Per the Hint on Page 4 of the paern, the easy way to prep the papers for the cung instrucons shown here is to simply cut TP 101 apart between the two Template G Templates. Each half of the paper will fit on a Fat Quarter secon if turned on it’s side. █ CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS: UNIT LC, UNITS A & B, BAGS #1, 2, & 3After publishing this pattern and writing the instructions, we realized that when Judy made the cover quilts, she used the opposite colored fabrics for the Unit A and Unit B Geese backgrounds and this is reflected on the cover quilt. To address this, we are giving you a second cutting option. The instructions in the pattern are NOT incorrect and create a great layout. But, if you want a second way to cut out the blocks and get another look, these instructions work, too. If you choose this option, then do not follow the cutting instructions in the pattern. Follow these instead.

In addition, we have loaded multiple blocks into Quiltster.

► UNIT A IN THE CENTER: If the geese in the center are moving counter-clockwise and the background is the opposite color of the square in the center of the Log Cabin, use the Pattern. If the geese in the center are moving clockwise and the background is the same color as the square, use this insert.

► UNIT B IN THE CENTER: If the geese in the center are moving clockwise (Unit B) and the background is the same as the square in the center of the Log Cabin, use the pattern. If the geese are moving clockwise and the background is different than the square in the center of the Log Cabin use this insert.

Per the Hint on Page 4 of the pattern, the easy way to prep the papers for the cutting instructions shown here is to simply cut TP 101 apart between the two Template G Templates. Each half of the paper will fit on a Fat Quarter section if turned on it’s side.

► Layout OptionsAt this point, there are several ways you can layout the blocks. We’re showing you the two layouts on the cover page, and then two more that are not on the cover page, but could be completed with the combination of blocks provided. These same color options are possible with the blocks you might make in the pattern, it is simply that you would have your geese flying in the opposite direction. No combination of blocks or cutting are wrong. So, feel free to play with them after they are made and find the best look for you!
