Fire Resistant Cable
Mineral insulated copper cables show outstanding performance in case of fire. Due to the specific constructions, FIRECEL MI cables can exceed all tests according to international standards for fire resistance.
Compared to soft skin cables, they show unique resistance for long time to temperature, to mechanical shocks and water. The cable can be bent also after a fire, it can withstand further impacts and water immersions.
The disadvantages, compared to soft skin cables, are the installation, that requires much more time, the seals and the connection process, which require specific tools and care for mineral oxide humidity absorption, and higher cost of cable.

Production process foresee many steps of diameter reduction(both drawings and rollings) separated by high temperatureannealing. Strong compression of MgO powder (density about2 g/cm3) allows very high values of insulation resistance(also if burned, 180° bent or flattened) and thermal conductivity. Therefore current ratings are higher than soft skin cables, especially at high temperature.

Cables can be designed to work - 60oC up to more than +260oC.Cables can be insulated by silicone rubber, Teflon, Tefzel, Kapton, PEEK, or Special heat resistant tapes.
These cables house either copper conductor or Fibre optics.Many constructions are available: cable in the picture, for example, shows a watertight construction with a central stainless tube for fibres, while copper conductors surround the core. A steel wire armour assures high mechanical protection.

Steps to assemble the WP type Adaptor to the IP67 Flexible Conduit:
1. Put the Locking Ring (with insulation rubber ring inside)through the IP67 Flexible Conduit at one end.2. Put the Inner Screw into the end of IP67 Flexible Conduit.3. Put the Adaptor Body to the IP67 Flexible Conduit fixed with Inner Screw.4. Screw both the Locking Ring and Adaptor Body together tightly with two spanners.
Steps to assemble the WRHD type Adaptor to the IP67 Flexible Conduit:
1. Put the Locking Ring (with bigger insulation rubber ring inside)through the IP67 Flexible Conduit at one end.2. Put the Inner Screw into the end of IP67 Flexible Conduit.3. Put the Adaptor Body (with smaller insulation rubber ring inside) to the IP67 Flexible Conduit fixed with Inner Screw.4. Screw both the Locking Ring and Adaptor Body together tightly with two spanners.

The highly flame retardant, low toxicity, low smoke density and Halogen free properties of the outer sheath of this product make it ideal for use in those areas where fire is of particular concern. eg. underground, tunnels, hospitals, high rise office blocks and public buildings, Electrical engineers can now specify a flexible conduit which is compatible with low Smoke cable.
Galvanised steel strips have been formed and helically wound into a flexible conduit. It is then coated with a uniform thickness of low smoke and fume PVC.
