Track Tensioner

The ACE Track Tensioners include a

caterpillar track system for hauling or

veering cable, umbilical, steel pipe or

similar round tubular products. The

units have been designed for horizontal

and vertical deployment. Enclosed

within a lift frame the Tensioners

operate by gripping the product

between two or four track carriages

where the track links are fitted with “V”

shaped pads.

Testing Facility

The ACE Winches testing centre delivers function testing, spooling and mobilisation of equipment. Load testing, brake testing and proof loading are all carried out by experienced and trained technicians.

The size and capacity of the test facilities enables ACE Winches

to replicate on site project configurations to fully test packages to

clients’ specific testing requirements.

Within the ACE Winches test centre, there are indoor fully covered

200te and 400te test beds to deliver spooling operations for all

umbilical and wire rope testing. Within the ACE test centre there

are additional test bed capabilities of testing up to 800te dynamic

load and 1000te brake and pull test, complete with a 150te test

tower for simulating operations offsite.

Balmoral Group

Balmoral Offshore Engineering specialises in subsea buoyancy, flotation, insulation, elastomer and renewable energy products while Balmoral Tanks provides water and wastewater solutions to the anaerobic digestion, civil and environmental engineering sectors. Balmoral Park is the Group’s property development and management arm.

At Group HQ in Aberdeen the company has invested in a pioneering subsea product design and manufacturing facility that includes laboratory, design engineering, production, project management and testing facilities that are unrivalled in the industry. The £20m+ Balmoral Subsea Test Centre opened its doors in 2018.

Balmoral Tanks designs and produces efusion® and digestore® epoxy coated and concrete tanks respectively for the water, wastewater and anaerobic digestion markets. A new factory in South Yorkshire, representing a £10m+ investment, was commissioned in 2018. The company also operates a specialised

design and manufacturing business in South Wales that provides hot press GRP and steel sectional tanks as well as cylindrical steel tanks for the global water storage and fire-fighting sectors.

Balmoral Park Ltd is the company’s property development division. Covering some 18 acres Balmoral Business Park in Aberdeen is home to three auto dealerships; Audi, Mini and Nissan, and features a 40,500sqft high-specification office pavilion.
