Little Mix are the most successful girl group in Britain today – but just in case introductions are necessary they are; Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall! Back in 2011 they were the first girl group to win the X Factor, since then they have gone from strength to strength and have even cracked the notoriously difficultdifficult America with their base heavy pop hits! But now they are back on this side of the pond, traveling up and down the country promoting their new single, “How Ya Doin” Featuring Missy Elliot. I managed to have a chin wag with the girls whilst they were pootling down the motorway, about hard work and how much they are looking forward to headliningheadlining at the Liverpool International Music Festival.

Hello Little Mix!All four girls shout back – Hello Lifestyle Magazine!

What’s it like to be headlining at the Liverpool International music festival?OhOh it’s amazing, fantastic we can’t believe it! We are so so excited. It’s an honour for us really; it’s our first headline, so it’s going to be very special for us. We are really excited about coming to Liverpool, we have performed there before, for the X Factor tour, and we loved it. The city is great and the people are too, when we played there the audience was fantastic that night!audience was fantastic that night! Do you still watch the X Factor? And do you feel that there is competition with the new contestants coming through?Yes we love the X factor and we catch it when we can, we don’t feel threatened by the new contestants, we’re supportive of it. YouYou have cracked the US where many others have failed, being the first British girl group ever to debut in the top 5 in the charts over there, ermmmm wow! How does that feel? Has it sunk in yet?ToTo be honest I don’t think it will ever sink in, we are all still in shock over it I think! We have been to quite a few places over there and there are always loads of fans who turn up to wherever we are being interviewed. TheThe US clearly loves you; you have even beaten the Spice Girls record! What so you think is the secret of your success over there?II really don’t know if there is a secret other than great songs. We do work really hard, we never stop, every day we are doing something different. But it goes to show that the harder your work the more success you have. We also just try and be ourselves all the time, we’re just normal down to earth girls, maybe they are reacting and relating to

You are quite individual girls with your ownlook, is that up to you? Do you have much control over things?Oh yes we definitely do, we are all our own person. We have a lot of input in everything we do, weather it is what we wear, recording or writing, and we have been like that from the beginning. As you said you all work really hard, and I know you haven’t stopped, are you still enjoying it?Four voices shouted - Yes we love it. GoodGood luck for the Liverpool International Music Festival girls, I’m looking forward to see you live!Thank you, we’ll see you there!

...that? Honestly I don’t know, but I am glad that people really seem to like us.

Have they struggled with your accents?HahahaHahaha yes, well, sometimes. Okay so, this is a good story; we were getting interviewed on a radio show over there, and the host couldn’t understand us. Listeners were on the phone asking us questions and when we replied he was saying” what did you say, can you repeat that?”, but before we could answer, the fans were translating what wewe had said for the radio presenter and defending us! It was brilliant! At least our fans can understand us, that’s the main thing isn’t it? What’s your ultimate goal? What would really make you stop and say, wow, ok now we have really made it?World wide success, yes that would 100% make us happy, very happy! But really, we just want to be around enjoying ourselves, making music and entertaining for as long as possible. Who would be your dream collaboration?Well,Well, actually it has already happened for us, Missy Elliot has been our dream collaboration from the start, we love her! But who next, hmmmmm Nicki Minaj? Yeah we’ll go with her next please, now that would be really cool! HaveHave you actually managed to meet Missy yet?No not yet, but we are hoping to soon! YouYou are four girls, always together, do you really get on? How do you avoid all the usual drama that happens when girls normally get together?HahahaHahaha yes we really get on. I don’t think we would have lasted even this long if we didn’t! We've been lucky that we get along so much, it's like having three other sisters to party with every day—it's fun!

ChamberSTHE Celebrate Heritage Month in style at historic city bar and restaurant…

With National Heritage Week just around the corner, September 2013 marks Liverpool Heritage Month, a chance to celebrate the cities roots and have a closer look at the remarkable buildings on our doorstep.

With over 2,500 listed buildings, our city boasts the largest collection of Grade II listed buildings outside of London!

The Bank Bar and Brasserie on Brunswick Street is one of those. Originally known as The Heywood’s Building, The Bank was founded by brothers Arthur and Benjamin Heywood in 1799 and is the oldest surviving purpose-built bank in the city.

The Heywood House Hotel still dominates the building block and is now home to one of the finest restaurants in Liverpool. Incorporating many of the original features, yet combined with the modern luxuries consumers have come to expect, the building retains spectacular design and original architecture delivering a truly unique dining experience.

The mouth watering menus offer something for everyone, using premium, often locally sourced ingredients.  Also offering daily incentives like steak nights, wine club and happy hour at the stylish and lively bar, reasons to visit The Bank are endless!

So celebrate Liverpool Heritage Month by dining at Liverpool’s hottest new restaurant, and enjoy sumptuous food served in a building steeped in history.

Sometimes you can come up with plenty of reasons why it is not the right time to quit cigarettes. But there are also plenty of reasons why you should go the extra mile and stop smoking. Here are just some of them…

1) Stubbing out cigarettes means smoking-related symptoms such as shortness of breath won’t stop you from keeping up with the kids or the grandkids.

2) By stopping smoking you will also be going the extra mile for those around you because they won’t be inhaling the secondhand smoke from your cigarettes.

3) After three months, sporting activity, such as running, will be easier because your circulation has improved. That marathon could be within your sights for next year.

4) Your immune system will thank you because carbon monoxide from cigarette smoke won’t be a problem and the increase in oxygen means you’ll be less tired and less likely to have headaches.

5) By cutting out 20 cigarettes from your day, you will find you have extra time on your hands instead. Plus, you’ll be saving around £200 a month as well as saving your health in the process.
