Greetings all…

Wow, what a winter so far! As we experience bouts of ice and snow in the Eugene and surrounding areas, we hope you have had a safe and joyous start to the New Year.

Considering the amount of damage throughout the Eugene area due to the recent storms, we feel very fortunate to be able to say that our construction site did not suffer any severe damage. While this unusually cold weather may have briefly slowed certain areas of construction, the overall progress has not stopped at The Springs at Greer Gardens! Covered in weather protectant wrapping, the building remained safe through the inclement weather.

Offering various apartment styles and common spaces in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care, there are many interior pieces of the construction puzzle that continue to come together. The Cottages are nearly complete and in their final stages of their punch lists and cleaning.

The 3rd floor of Pacific Ridge, Independent Living, is in progress of drywall installation in the corridors. The 2nd floor is close on the heels, with insulation and wallboard complete in the corridors and final water piping and data cables being placed. The first floor is finishing up electrical installation with insulation and wallboard mounting in progress in the

corridors. The main kitchen and dining room are framed and almost to completion of electrical and piping installation with an inspection up next.

Construction Update cont’d:

In Aspen Peak, Assisted Living, the final countertops and cabinets are being installed on the 1st floor with the 2nd and 3rd floor complete. The 3rd floor corridors are complete with paint and trim which is also underway on the 2nd floor. The dining room has complete ceiling framework with drywall installation midway complete.

In Footsteps, Memory Care the apartment homes are completed with their carpeting masked for protection as work continues in the common areas. The courtyard on the West end of Footsteps Memory Care is shaping up nicely, with it’s walking paths framed and some concrete already poured.

Other exterior focuses are on preparation for pavement pour, landscaping continuation, roof shingle installation and apartment deck framing. One highlight of most recent exterior progress is the installation of the pedestrian bridge, on the Southwest end of the property, connecting to Bond Park.

We are gearing up for our second Dusty Shoe Open House on March 11th and are excitedly anticipating the capability to tour the entire first floor of the community. This will allow us to feature many of our spaces and amenities in order to paint you a picture of what the future at The Springs at Greer Gardens looks like.
