TRANSCRIPT
Life is a journey; long is the road, And when the noontide is high
Souls that are weary faint ‘neath their load, Long for the waters, and cry:
The well is deep and I require A draught of the water of life,
But none can quench my soul’s desire For a draught of the water of life;
Till one draws near who the cry will heed, Helper of men in their time of need,
And I, Believing, find indeed That Christ is the water of life.
I have an officer Freind who often refers to life as being a journey. He rejoices in the journey and calls everyone to enjoy it. I believe to truly enjoy the journey requires that we embrace every part of life as a small aspect of the ‘whole’.
Life is a journey. In this journey we will seek, and we will find...
Life is a seeking, life is a quest, Eager and longing desire;
Unto the true things, unto the best Godward our spirits aspire.
Life is a finding; vain wanderings cease When from the Saviour we claim
All we have longed for, solace and peace, And we have life in his name.
This song was written by Albert Osborn (1886 – 1967),
the words are as true today as when he first wrote them.
May your days be flooded with the water of life. God bless you.

Day of Prayer for Children is scheduled on the Territorial calendar for Sunday 2 August 2015.
It is a day when The Salvation Army is encouraged to place the world's children before God
in focused prayer. This is a great opportunity to teach and encourage our children to pray for other children in other
parts of the world within The Salvation Army.
The theme for our Day of Prayer for Children is taken from 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - ‘Pray continually.’

SP3 – Update 21st July
SP3 stands for Safe people, safe programmes, and safe places.
It is a Territorial mandate that all ministries with young and vulnerable people would be applying the SP3 process. The TEAM MEMBER training level outlines the Code of Conduct, the TEAM LEADER training level guides the planning and monitoring of
programs and activities, and the COORDINATOR training level assists in efficient accountability to TSA’s implementation of this process.
Today is the day we had hoped that all officers across WAD would have finished their online training component of the SP3 system.
So here is our progress to date:
CONGRATULATIONS... to the 33% who have completed this online training!
For those yet to finish, please contact me regarding your progress - especially if you need assistance.
The entire training phase will be completed on August 31st at the Divisional Officer SP3/SMO Training Day. Please mark this in your diaries and let Jess know you are coming. When the training process is complete we will all be ready to implement this across the state.
