Some events that occurred in the 1960

The early Johnson Administration focused on completeing some of Kennedy's visions including major victories for the Civil Rights Movement with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. His Presidency then became consumed by the Great Society and the escalating war in Vietnam, causing unrest and protest among the nation's youth

- Some different people who influenced fashion in there own way..

The leaders of mid-1960s style were the British. As the Mods strongly influenced the fashion in London, 1960s fashion in general set the mode for the rest of the century as it became marketed mainly to young people. Mods formed their own way of life creating television shows and magazines that focused directly on the lifestyles of Mods. British rock bands such as The Who, The Small Faces, and The Kinks emerged from the Mod subculture. The Mods were known for the Modern Jazz they listened to as they showed their new styles off at local cafes. It was not until 1964 when the Modernists were truly recognized by the public that women really were accepted in the group. The Mods' lifestyle and musical tastes were the exact opposite of their rival group known as the rockers

Clothing changed with women’s changing roles in modern society, particularly with the idea of new fashion. Women got the vote in 1920 and were entering the workforce in record numbers so the dresses evolved into a silhouette that now sported shorter skirts with pleats, gathers, or slits to allow motion to rule women’s fashion for the first time in history.-The silhouette looks like this outfit on the right side

Some of the different things that were copied from 1960s are most of the clothes like off the shoulder shirts and bright color and leg wormers etc. also most of the later period it influences the style now.
