Face-to-Face, Stand-Alone Instruction Sessions The Jessup Library has a large catalog of face-to-face classes from which to choose. (See below.)Each 50-minute session is designed to cover different information literacy learning outcomes and skills, and is already aligned with the curriculum of a particular course, (e.g., ENG 111). When exposed to different face-to-face sessions, students are introduced to key aspects of information literacy from introduction to mastery. Playbooks can be tailored to a course, or preferably, to an assignment. These playbooks serve as step-by-step guides to students as they work through reading, interpreting, and completing an assignment. Personal Librarian: Students often need consistent support throughout a semester as they progress from introductory material to mastery. With a personal librarian, students in developmental, capstone, or “killer” courses work with a librarian throughout the semester on all aspects of information literacy and research.
