How will you use the library this year?

In 2009, Hale Kula participated in Jump Start’s “Read for the Record”—across the nation, everyone read Eric Carle’s Very Hungry Caterpillar. Hale Kula celebrated the event with art, video, creative dance, and hands-on “caterpillar learning.” Visitors from The Green House educated students and families about the caterpillar life cycle. Ten lucky kids took home their very own caterpillars. All families took home their own copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, compliments of the USO.
