The Shining Light, Ships and Slipways Storytelling Tour BOOK A FREE TOURSaturday 18 August from 11:00am to 4:00pmJoin us for an interactive family friendly storytelling tour, where guests will visit SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world. Venture then on foot down the Titanic slipways where the world’s most famous ship was built and launched, to the Great Light, one of the largest lighthouse optics of its kind ever built in the world. The storytelling tour will then bring everyone for refreshments and a short tour on board HMS Caroline, a unique survivor of the Battle of Jutland during the First World War.

You will also be transported from HMS Caroline in style on board the Wee Tram, which is based on the tram cars that ran through the shipyard in Titanic’s day.

This is a unique opportunity for Big Summer Read participants and their families to spend time exploring Titanic Quarter and listening to stories of our industrial giants. Discover how these ‘Giants’ have played a huge role in TQ’s maritime history, and the one thing that links them all.
