Although Democrats took back the House of Representatives in the midterm elections as was expected — historically the president’s party almost always loses congressional seats during midterms — several hard-fought conservative victories were smeared as racist by the liberal media.

Going into the contests, the leftist press relentlessly tagged President Donald Trump as a racist and any candidate who campaigned with him (or on his agenda) for support was similarly marked as anti-black, anti-minority, and even anti-women.

As MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough lectured, “The final several weeks of this campaign have been about racism.” MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude added that “this moral monster,” Trump, “is playing to those base instincts,” and “it shows that the country is profoundly racist.”

In Georgia and Florida, where two black leftists fought against two white conser-vatives for governors’ seats, the liberal media ran unsubstantiated claims of voter suppression and blamed the “Deep South” for not progressing. They also screamed racism in Senate races in Tennessee and in Texas, and in other contests.

Ten days after the election Abrams conceded the win to Kemp.

CNN’s April Ryan was nearly hysterical in reporting on Election Day that voter suppression efforts were underway. “There were long lines, there was not adequate equipment there, things were happening,” she fumed. “This does not

Then Ryan went over the edge. “We are now sitting in a time where we are not having voting rights enforced!” she railed. “We don’t have voting rights anymore! It’s gone!”

CNN’s Symone Sanders joined the chorus, “Unprecedented attempts to suppress the vote here in Georgia. … The integrity of this election is in question. I don’t think this has been a fair process.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid falsely reported that Abrams had been “well ahead in the polls” prior to Election Day. Then Reid claimed that Kemp has a “long history of voter suppression…. He essentially bioengineered an electorate … with enough white voters and few enough voters of color to elect him.”

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough charged that Kemp was suppressing votes “like some Third World dictator.”

In Florida, where black liberal Andrew Gillum faced off against white conservative Ron DeSantis in the governor’s race, the liberal media made deceitful claims about rac-ism and voter suppression. (Why else would a progressive lefty lose?) ABC’s Cecilia Vega, commenting on DeSantis’s win, reported, “what we’re not talking about is the over-tones of race and racism that have played out,” such as “comments like ‘monkey this up’ by DeSantis.”

ABC’s Byron Pitts warned “many progressives” are “incredibly disappointed, and they’ll be giving their white neighbors the hairy eyeball tomorrow.” He added that the liberal losses were in part due to Trump who is seen as “anti-minority.”

Trump is anti-minority in the eyes of the liberal media, no doubt. It’s also a fact that black unemployment under Trump is the lowest it has been since 1969.

But the leftist press doesn’t care. They want to smear Trump and conservatives — not always one and the same — as bigots. As MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell opined, “Elected Republicans in America — from the president on down — obviously fear democracy. They fear the will of the voters and so they try to prevent voters from voting. … We have never seen it this bad, since the early 1960s, before the Voting Rights Act.”

While the liberal media were throwing around mendacious claims of voter suppression and racism against conservatives, they didn’t say a word about the well-documented anti-Israel views of Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, who won her race for the House. In 2012, Omar had tweeted, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.” She also described Israel as an “apartheid regime.”

CBS’s Jim Axelrod praised Omar for becoming “the first-ever Somali-American elected to Congress” and NBC’s Kasie Hunt applauded Omar as one of “the first Muslim women” elected to Congress. They said nothing about her anti-Israel views.

CNN’s Carl Bernstein denounced President Donald Trump for firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions, labeling it “a coup” by a “rageaholic president.” On Anderson Cooper 360, Bernstein railed that the firing “is a kind of coup against the rule of law, a kind of action that you see in a tin-pot dictatorship in which now we have the president of the United States who, from the beginning, has been trying to shut down, bury the Mueller investigation.” He’s “willing to totally undermine the system of justice in this country for his own ends,” ranted Bernstein.

Also, on CNN’s Newsroom, Bernstein fumed that America is being “undermined and obliterated” by “a president whose back is to the wall trying to earn himself a get-out-of-jail pass, figuratively speaking, not literally, by manipulating the system of justice in a way that goes far farther than Nixon did in Watergate.”

Question for Carl: Precisely what crime did Trump commit?

Pro-ViolenceAfter a mob of leftist Antifa activists gathered outside the home of

Fox’s Tucker Carlson and threatened his wife and children with harm, Vox’s Senior Correspondent Matthew Yglesias justified the terroristic actions in a series of tweets. While some journalists condemned the threats, Yglesias wrote, “I think the idea behind terrorizing his family, like it or not

as a strategy, is to make them feel some of the fear that the victims of MAGA-inspired violence feel thanks to the non-stop racial incitement coming from Tucker, Trump, etc.”

The leftist scribbler also tweeted, “If your instinct is to empathize with the fear of the Carlson family rather than with the fear of his victims then you should take a moment to reflect on why that is.” He further confessed, “I honestly cannot empathize with Tucker Carlson’s wife at all … I am utterly unable to identify with her plight on any level.”

That is the true voice of the leftist media.

Nancy! Nancy!After the midterms, CNN was

quick to laud the Democrats’ returning Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. CNN tweeted on Nov. 13, “In many ways, Nancy Pelosi is the original Badass Woman of Washington #BadassWomenDC.” In an interview that day, CNN’s Dana Bash asked Pelosi no tough questions and instead told viewers, “Pelosi certainly knows her power more than any other woman I’ve ever covered in politics. And I’ve always wondered how.”

Bash then gingerly asked Pelosi, “How do you think you wield your power differently than a man does?” She also revealed that the leftist Democrat “attributes her boundless energy to Italian genes.” The two visited a candy shop and Bash disclosed that Pelosi is “as strict about her chocolate as she is for standing up for herself.”

It’s reassuring to know that CNN is holding lawmakers’ feet to the fire and not playing favorites. President Trump, do you attribute your boundless energy to your Scottish genes?

Citing no evidence, CNN’s Carl Bernstein rails that the “rageaholic” President Trump has staged “a coup” against the Justice Department and is far more manipulative than Nixon in Watergate.

acting attorney general caused MSNBC’s Chris Matthews to blow several gaskets. On the Nov. 9 Hardball, Matthews ranted that Trump’s “got steel ones to pull this off. I mean, it’s unbelievable. He didn’t go to [Deputy AG Rod] Rosenstein. Out of nowhere, he picks this guy who auditioned for the job of Trump-protector for months. He got the job.”

Matthews thundered on, “He actually is pulling an Inchon landing like MacArthur in Korea. I’m going in behind. I’m going in behind Rosenstein. I’m going to make the whole probe by Mueller ineffective because I’ve got the attorney general on my team now.” As for the Democrats, Matthews complained, “I have never seen such wet liberalism. Wet, gooey, gee whiz.... It’s awful but we can’t do anything about it. … When you got bananas for the opposition, you have a banana republic.”

Why did everyone in the national media rush to assume the worst, and end up with ... fake news? There’s an easy guess.

The Associated Press quickly found Baraboo’s state senator Joe Erpenbach who blamed....the rhetoric of President Trump. “There’s no room in the world for anything like that at all. From what they’re seeing out of the White House, that it’s OK to be intolerant and racist.”

one tweet can prove that small towns in Wisconsin are stuffed with racists and anti-Semites. On November 12, ABC, CBS, and NBC all leaped on a tweet from the left-wing talk show The Young Turks. It showed a months-old high-school prom photo from Baraboo, Wisconsin, where a collection of teenaged boys on the front steps of the Sauk County courthouse appeared to be giving a “Nazi salute.”

The town of about 12,000 — best known before now as the original headquarters of the Ringling Brothers and their circus — quickly felt the sting of national, and even international embarrassment. The Auschwitz Museum tweeted its outrage. This was followed by everyone insisting this photo isn’t representative of the local population, as well as school officials promising to investigate and offer mandatory history lessons about Nazi Germany.

But what really happened? Student Brock Turkington said it started when the photographer said, “Do a high sign. And nobody really knew what a high sign was. We never heard of it. And he demonstrated by sticking his arm up, kind of what the salute looked like. So we all imitated it.”

When Turkington saw the photo later, he winced at what it looked like. “It was just miscommunication, like we were told to do one thing and he demonstrated it badly and we

CBS This Morning offered one brief anchor-read story earlier this year when an old smiling-Obama-with-Farrakhan photo surfaced after being suppressed for years. ABC and NBC slept on it.

None of these networks were outraged in September when Farrakhan sat on a dais of honorees during the blanket coverage of Aretha Franklin’s funeral, right next to Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Bill Clinton. Three days later, CBS and NBC reported there was “controversy,” but they utterly skipped Farrakhan.

Whoopi Goldberg on ABC’s The View told everyone to back off. “It’s not about Bill Clinton or Louis Farrakhan. It was all about Aretha,” she ranted. “That’s why everybody needs to pull back, just pull it back, you know, and understand that this is, we don’t control everything.”

On the same night all three networks were covering supposedly hateful Baraboo High School prom pictures, only ABC covered Hamas terrorists lobbing missiles into Israel from the Gaza strip to murder Jewish people.

National “news” judgment is a pernicious thing.
