L. F. A. Christian Alliance, A Resource

For Our Communities!

In this economic climate there are millions of families that are

affected financially, and it causes a shuffling of resources and a great

demand to be place on the social organizations of the world. Right now inthe United States of America there are thousands of families with Children

that are homeless, without power, without running water, without food and

in need of clothing and basics necessities of life, such as hygiene items.

This number does not include the Nations poor families, but those who have

been tossed out of their homes due to loss of incomes because of lay-offs,company downsizing, or closing of businesses due to the economy. In an

effort to be a resource for those less fortunate and to provide a non-federally

funded resource to those who find themselves with a job but still not able to

provide meals, clothing, shoes and hygiene items for their families, L. F. A.

Christian Alliance has begun to sponsor non-perishable food drives,

clothing & shoe drives as well as hygiene items to build our Agape Food

Pantry and Clothes Closet for the County of Warren.

You never know when you may be in need! There are so many familiesthat are working pay to pay even if full time, and many that are only able to

work a part-time job. It is hard for those who are trying to maintain a

household and still provide the items necessary to clean the house, do

laundry and items to promote good personal hygiene. In 2003 I found

myself and my two children homeless. We were in transition, moving out

of one place because it had been broken into, and living with a family

member while trying to find another apartment, we were asked to leave and

had to go into a shelter and stayed in the shelter for a few months. I wasstill working full time, the children were still in daycare and school and

eventually by the grace of God we moved out of the shelter into an

apartment of our own again.

LETSGETBACKTOPRAYER!

This nation as a whole has deteriorated in the area of faith. At one time

we were a people with a foundation that was built on the word of God,

but now, you have the Ten Commandments taken out of court buildings,

Prayer taken out of schools, Christians being arrested for sharing the

gospel to their neighbors and the Institution of Marriage (as being

between a Man and a Woman) at risk of being redefined. What has

happened to the Moral and Ethical compass of the people of this nation?

The Christian faith was once synonomous with being an

American, but now those who call themselves Christians are considered

to be Terrorist or Extremist. Have we gone so far to make this country

comfortable for aliens and refugees that we have lost the very fabric of

our making? I read on a government website that when Ronald Reagan

was in office, He put into legislation the closure and renovation of some

Military bases across the country and over seas, that would be converted

into prison camps . These Prison Camps, are for those whom the

United States Government(Dept. of Homeland Security) consider to be

a threat to the Nation and under that list, those with Radical religious

beliefs are threats to the security of the Nation. It is truly time for us to

go back to our Knees, and pray for the salvation of this nation, for the

wisdom of our leaders and the healing of our land!

If my people which are called by my name would humble themselves,

Homelessness and Hunger affects our childrensability to learn and grow up healthy.

Being a Resource for our Communities(Continued)

Homelessness and hunger are the unfortunate

lifestyles of many in Warren County, although

there are some that have not been accounted for.

Living in houses without electricity, or runningwater, condemned or abandoned buildings and

some are members of our churches. It is time for

the Church to be responsible for taking care of its

community, members and being a resource of helps

in the earth.
