Ladies of the Brush, I can’t believe 2018 is almost over. We have some great workshops and two seminars to look forward to next year. Our class projects will be shown in this newsletter. Please check them out. Our 2019 Chapter officers are: Lana Raymond, President; 1

Vice President (membership chair), Jane Van Buren; Treasurer, Ruth McDonald; and Secre-tary (and Ways & Means), Nancy Walsh. Georgia Strein will continue as our newsletter editor and Mary-Lou Persutti will serve as our Sunshine chair. I hope to see you at our “Ugly Christ-mas Sweater” Christmas Party. It’s a fun way to bring this year to a wrap.

Letter from the 1st Vice President
Ladies of the Brush.
I hope you had a bountiful Thanksgiving.
Now that you have feasted on turkey and
pumpkin pie, it is not time to think Christ-
mas.
Our Christmas party is fast approaching.
Hopefully you will make your reservations
soon so that we know how many to plan
for. Nancy Walsh has a surprise for every-
one and we will also be wearing our ugly
sweaters.
This newsletter contains information about
our January class and also our seminar for
February.
The seminar is filling up fast so get your
registrations to me asap. You don’t want to
miss this opportunity to paint with Prudy
Vanier. We will open the seminar to guests
after mid-December. So don’t delay,
register today.

Palm Coast Decorative Painters Chapter Meeting November 10, 2018 Meeting called to order at 9:02 a.m. by President, Lana Raymond. Officers Present: Lana Raymond, Lee Fasnacht, Ruth McDonald, Jane Van Buren and Georgia Strein.
Secretary’s Report: There were no minutes taken in October due to low number of members present at the class. Treasurer’s Report: Ruth reported that we have a balance of $4,690.27 as of October. Gift certificates are available through Ruth. 1st Vice President: Lee had signups for the January 5th Santa Cookie Tray class. Lee is taking signups for the Prudie Vannier seminar in February. 2
nd Vice-President: Jane Van Buren reported that we have 13 members signed up and paid.
Newsletter Editor: Georgia needs newsletter items by the 18
th of the month.
Ways & Means: The winning ticket will be drawn for the picture that Ken Fasnacht donated for our raffle at our Christmas party on December 1
st.
Kids R First: Lana stated that after the first of the year she will be bringing boxes for members to take to paint. Old Business: A motion was made by Lee Fasnacht and seconded by Nedra Lyman to accept the slate of officers by acclamation. The vote was unanimous in favor.

Painting Tips by Nancy Walsh
When stencilling, use a tiny disposable make-up sponge. Dip the flat end
of the sponge into the paint and pounce most of it off on your palette or a
paper towel. Position your stencil securely the pounce the pattern. The
sponge will produce a softer, smoother stencil look.

Christmas Party
Palm Coast Decorative Painters (PCDP) is a non-profit, affiliated chapter of the
National Society of Decorative Painters. A monthly meeting, followed by a painting
workshop, is held the first Saturday of each month (usually) at the Flagler Beach-
Women's club, 1524 S. Central Avenue, Flagler Beach. Business meetings start at
9:00 a.m. followed by the scheduled workshop/seminar. All levels of painters are
welcome to any of the meetings. Check out our website (updated at the end of each
