The teacher asks the students the following questions

1. Do you like flowers?2. Which is your favourite flower and why?

INFORMAL INTERACTION

The teacher displays a power point presentation and asks the students to observe it carefully. Then the teacher asks them to identify and state the similarities of the pictures that have been shown.

The students observe carefully and they identify and state that all the pictures are of flowers and white in colour

LINK TALK

Today we are going to learn a short poem about a tiny white flower, Daisy. The name of the poem is “Daisy’s Song” [B.B] written by John Keats [B.B}

The teacher shows the picture of Daisy with a detailed description of its characteristics

The students observe carefully, read and understand the description of the poem.

EXPLANATION OF WORDS AND PHRASES

Couch /kaʊtʃ/ = lay down

Lullaby /lʌləbʌɪ/ = Song sung to make a child to go to sleep

SESSION – 8

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION

The teacher presents the following questions and asks the students to find out and write the answers individually.

QUESTIONS1. How is the daisy in a better position than the sun or moon?2. When night is near, what other sounds can lull one to sleep?

ANSWERS1. The Daisy can see things and enjoy beauty around it without any obstacles. So

the Daisy is in a better position than the sun or moon.2. Sounds of Crickets, gentle murmuring of leaves produced by wind, sound of

flowing river etc. can lull one to sleep. PRESENTATION OF ANSWERS

The teacher asks the students to present what has been written. Then the teacher helps them to edit, rephrase and correct their answers.
