    EWT transportation The EWT transportation commence from Westport

    Fabrication Yard and transported to West Port Jetty byMulti Axle Trailer.

    At the West Port wharf/jetty 2 units mobile crane wasused for lifting complete with lifting gears according tolifting plans

    The transport route leads from Port Klang through theStreet of Malacca towards MMHE jetty at Pasir

    Gudang.

    What actually happen?

    Transport to Westport delayed for 2 days

    Cometto breakdown due to hydraulic failure

    Lifting flare tower

    The lifting of flare tower had been executed at in frontof DD1 and DD2 area with 1 no. of Floating Crane and 1supporting crane (by MMHE).

    The installation of flare tower had been executed at

    quay8 with 1 no. of Floating Crane Engineering of Lift Concepts to its final installation

    location.

    What can we learn from this?

    1. Install f lare tip after completion of installation of f laretower to ease lifting operation

    2. Use crane that able to turn 360 to avoid space limit

    3. Reduce crane radius as much as possible to maximize

    crane capacity4. Ensure no additional steel work on the module after load

    out from fabrication yard

    5. Load out from fabrication yard shall synchronize withlifting campaign perfectly
