2- Main objectives
Assist civil society in Lebanon in providing integrated relief includingin particular the provision of coordination services.

4- Coordination mechanism with other institutions
Created a call center to reach out to civil society organizations and provideuser support.
Publicized the portal in all coordination meetings by providing practicalguidelines and offering services to enhance coordination process.
Provided on-site technical assistance for organizations in data collection andmanagement during crisis. Organized regular coordination meetings on the issue of data collection.

Daily contacts with active actors through the call center, the field staff, and thecoordination unit.
Participation in other coordination mechanisms. Conducting surveys in partnership with relevant organizations on the particular
issue at hand. Providing space and services for management of data, thus encouraging

6- Main constraints
Lack of mechanisms for sharing information among actors working on relief,recovery, and development.
Equal lack of transparency on all levels: UN, intergovernmental,governmental, International NGOs, Local NGOs, and community initiatives.
Lack of skills related to information gathering and management.
Lack of legal frameworks for access to information, especially on thegovernmental and intergovernmental side thus lack of legal framework foraccountability of donors and large operations.
Competitive nature of grant bidding leads to organizations unwilling to shareimportant information.

7- Main facilitating factors Strength of civil society organizations. Diversity of partners (Implementing: local NGO-MADA, International
NGO-HI, Popular campaign-SAMIDOUN, institutional: ECHO, UN,MoSA).
Data was collected and organized in a participatory manner, allowingcross-checking of information, reducing gaps and duplication, andenhancing transparency of process.
Needs-based approach was used to identify pockets of data, allowingdirect access through local bodies and practical continuity of datacollected.

1- Profiles Give an introduction about each and every organization
working in Lebanon (from Intl NGOs/Associations, to LocalNGOs/Associations, UN Agencies, Social DevelopmentCentersSDCs, etc..), in addition to a briefing about eachones current projects, in reason of avoiding work duplication.Not to mention that such tool may help any organization getthe financial support it needs in order to pursue with its ownprojects or even start new ones.
Provide important information about each organization: addresses,phone numbers, contact persons, projects, etc. in order to facilitate thecoordination process among them.

II- CooperationNews and Announcements
Provide the different NGOs/Organizations with an advertising tool
through which they may publish any news or announcementsrelated to their work, projects and activities.Resources Provide organizations and agencies with different resources that may
help them get all the information they need about the current projectsand activities implemented in the different fields of intervention, i.e.health, shelter, protection, NFI, etc. and once provided with the latest
updates, the work shall be more fluent and effective. Moreover, this section can provide further data concerning any
emergency case that may arise in Lebanon. In order to, enhance thecoordination process among organizations and help them be effective.For example, upon the clashes between the Lebanese Army andFateh Al Islam group in Nahr El Bared, a customized section hasbeen created. Thus, organizations were able to work with each otherand to organize their activities and relief distributions.
