The projectincluded the architectural design and construction of theSwatch Pavilion in Centennial Olympic Park, all Olympicwatch designs and packaging, the pin program, anextensive global hospitality program, technicalcoordination with the timing division and allcommunication with other Olympic sponsors and OlympicCommittees. Fritha was Conceptual Designer for theInternational Olympic Youth Camp, bringing together 500youths from 200 nations during the games. Fritha hasproduced, directed and acted as creative director for majorevents for Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft,Intel, Charles Schwab, Macy’s and Banana Republic.

Young HarvillLead Technologist

Young Harvill is co-founder of Pulse3D, responsible for thecompany's technology vision. He holds an MFA fromStanford University, where he explored the intersection ofart and technologies, and received a research grant forwork in computer-controlled holography. A fascinationwith light, vision and illusion compelled Harvill to joinVPL Research in 1985 and to work on the first generationof Virtual Reality systems. He wrote Swivel, one of the first3D modeling and animation packages for the desktop and,with Chuck Blanchard and Jaron Lanier, pioneered the firstVR authoring environment (RB2).

David FoxProducerDavid Fox moved from the Marin Computer Center tobecoming employee #2 at LucasArts Entertainment wherefor 10 years he designed and produced computer gamessuch as Rescue on Fractalus!, Labyrinth, Zak McKrackenand the Alien Mindbenders, Indiana Jones and the LastCrusade, scripted Maniac Mansion, and designed theexperiences for Mirage a multi-player, networked location-based entertainment system intended for theme parks. Nancy Wolfberg

Nancy Wolfberg held key positions in marketing andsales at Sony and Wilson Learning Corp and at severalstartup companies. She helped launch the multimediaindustry with Bob Metcalfe, building awareness for theEthernet. Most recently she worked with entrepreneursinvolved in start-ups and small businesses aspiring to thenext level of growth.

For the Hewlett Foundation project,Tonia conducted pre- and posttesting, collected children's feedback,videotaped children using the productand wrote a field test report.

Tonia Wanacek, CSJP

Tonia has been a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace for fortyyears. Her career has encompassed ministry in the fieldof Education for twenty-six of those years. During thattime she has been a teacher, indo-Chinese tutor, readingspecialist and Elementary school principal. Her career ineducation has been spent in urban, suburban and ruralWashington State. Most of her religious life has beenspent working with low income and multi-ethnicchildren. Sister also spent a number of years working inthe inner city as finance director of a low-incomeresidence for women in transition; in fund developmentfor religious communities and low income housing.Currently she is Principal of St. Paul Cathedral School inYakima, Washington. Her school was chosen as one ofseven in the Diocese of Yakima to receive the first Bill &Melinda Gates Foundation Grant to private schools.

Merle Bush

Merle Bush has composed high-quality typesetting forover 30 years. Specializing in working with beginners,Ms. Bush gave hands-on computer immersion to over 50students for Fleet Bank’s Computer Technology andFinancial Literacy course. In 2000, she began to educateyoungsters from four years old through middle school incomputer operations at the Harlem YMCA’s After SchoolProgram. Through her association with Tech Accesseducational/professional contacts were made, one ofwhich led her to become the coach of The Y’s WiseLego League Robotics Team—winners of the 2001“Against All Odds” trophy. Merle Bush is currentlyworking at the Vanderbilt YMCA’s Community LearningCenter at Public School 183, where she serves to de-mystify computer terminology to promote cyber mastery.

Randall developed the high-level design and applicationinterface for The Learning Company’s A.D.A.P.T learningassessment engine technology. Jeff Levinsky

An experienced computer scientist specializing incomputers in education. He has also served asmanager and designer of many successful consumersoftware development efforts for Learning Friends,Mattel, Broderbund, Hewlett-Packard's ComputerResearch Laboratory, Genealogy.com, and othertechnology companies. A recent invention of his is anadvanced Internet-based recommender system thattargets specific products to millions of consumers basedupon their needs and preferences, and constructspersonalized marketing information to motivatepurchases. Mr. Levinsky co-authored two children'sbooks on learning to program, holds patents onintelligent medical instrumentation, and graduatedsumma cum laude from the University of California atBerkeley in computer science.
