Message from the President
Dear Fellow Shareholders,
2010 was a year of positive change for our company. With a new management team in place, we set out to achieve two important objectives. First, we challenged ourselves to attain immediate success with our turn-around efforts and drive the company to profitability. Second, we focused on solidifying the long-term strategy of evolving into a multi-channel, branded coffee company. I am very pleased with our results achieved to date.
During the year we were able to build key foundational elements to drive future growth in each of our business channels. We also experienced revenue growth and reported earnings per share of $0.26. This financial performance is evidence of the traction achieved as a result of our turn-around efforts. What motivates us even more is the work that took place during the year, which will have significant benefits in the future and truly make Safari Coffee Canada’s favorite coffee stop.
We have identified five key levers across our business channels that will drive future revenue and profit growth. We are confident about the tremendous opportunity in each of these areas:
• Drive retail coffeehouse average unit volume
• Increase company owned coffeehouses through new store openings
• Grow our consumer packaged goods coffee business
• Gain stronger presence in the foodservice sector
• Expand new unit growth in our franchise and license channel
The Safari Coffee brand has always represented outstanding quality in our core beverage platform. Building on that commitment, we are introducing a new and exciting product pipeline. One of our early successes was the launch of our improved chocolate, using premium, all-natural chocolate in all of our chocolate–based beverages. Our guests truly love this product enhancement and this initiative signals the core philosophy that will guide our future product innovation; premium ingredients, sourced carefully and sustainably, that will be handcrafted and customizable to meet our guest’s individual choices. We will apply this mind-set to expand into categories such as tea, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as morning and afternoon treats and snacks. This product innovation is one of the cornerstones of our retail strategy.
Our commercial business continues to grow and is now greater than 10% of our overall revenues. Through our enhanced distribution, our coffee is now found in approximately 7,000 doors and in 40 states. With the Keurig partnership distribution, our brand is found in 9 Provinces. In addition to our core consumer packaged goods business, we also built the foundation to grow our foodservice business, which will greatly increase the market for our premium coffee.
Finally, we continue to experience success in growing our franchise and license business. We opened 28 franchise and license locations during the year and see great potential for this business channel both domestically and internationally. Domestically, there are significant synergies with our commercial channel. We are focused on delivering a Total Coffee Solution to our partners.
I would like to thank our team for all of their efforts in 2010, as well as thank our shareholders for their continued support.
Sincerely,
Edward E. Stock, CEO and President

DetailsOrnamental Styles of ChicagoThey are many amazing buildings in Chicago such as the Sears Tower, Smurfit-Stone Building, Lake Point Tower and many more, but have you ever tak-en a close look at the details on these buildings. The details on these building are just as beautiful as the buildings themselves. So many people walk by these details everyday completely blind to them.
If you take the time you can notice many different styles. One of the main styles you can see in the details is Art Deco, you can identify art deco by its stepped forms and sweeping curves. Commercial style can also be seen and identifiable by its steel frames and spatial aesthetic. Another beautiful style that can be see in Chicago is Italiante. Italiante style is known for not having carvings or moldings glued on, this would be done by directly craving these details right on the stone or wood. Other styles that can be found are Prairie School, and Modern.
Next time you visit Chicago take a look around and see the small details that make Chicago beautiful.

Our Pet Nutrition Philosophy
Natura Pet Products was founded in 1992 by John
and Ann Rademakers and Peter Atkins in Santa Clara,
California. Dissatisfied with the unhealthy ingredients
in the pet foods on the market, they consulted with
veterinary nutrition experts to determine the best
sources for pet food ingredients. Working with caring
pet professionals - veterinarians, breeders and
nutritionists - Natura asked one key question: “How do
you make the healthiest pet food in the world?”
What they learned won’t surprise you. Dogs and cats are
healthiest when they eat whole, natural foods: USDA-
inspected chicken, turkey and lamb, whole grain rice
and barley, fresh fruits and vegetables, and Grade A
dairy products. Based on information from this research,
Natura’s Nutritional Philosophy was developed.
Before any of our pet food is shipped, it must pass over
100 quality-control checks.[ ]
