(8) and Norman Davison x20 (40) gave the visitors a 4-0 lead before Alan Shaw x9 (36) got the Bridge on the
board. Stevie Armstrong x10 (20) then made it 5-1 going into the singles. Ian Jowsey x5 (20) made it 5-2 when
he beat debutant Ian Gordon however wins for Norman Davison x10 40) against Chris Ward and Jeff Gibson x8
(16) against Bernie Massingham secured victory. Team-mates Brian Abdou x10 (20) and Ernie Hudson x4 (8)
also won respectively against Alan Shaw and John Charlton with Douglas Hart x16 (74) winning the last match
against Stevie Armstrong to make the final result Bridge Hotel 3 Kennedys A 9.
Second placed Westoe Bar hosted Buzzers with Peter Bassett x8 (16), Chris Blacklock x16 (32) and Davey
Johnson x8 (16) giving them a 3-0 lead before Davey Bell x10 (20) got the Buzzers first point. Paul Johnson x10
(20) and Peter Bassett x8 (16) made it 5-1 heading into the singles. Davey Bell x16 (32) pulled another leg back
when he beat Davey Barnes with team-mate Liam Wasmuth x16 (91) also winning against Chris Blacklock. Paul
Johnson x16 (32) made it 6-3 when he beat Paul Hawthorne with brother Davey Johnson x1 (2) securing the
victory against James Main. John Bird x4 (8) pulled a leg back when he beat Micky Mizen however a win for
Peter Bassett x20 (40) against Darren Franks made the final result Westoe Bar 8 Buzzers Sports Bar 4.
Wouldhave in third hosted the Voyager B with
Warrick Rochester x2 (4), x5 (10) and Davey
Richardson x18 (36) giving them a 3-0
advantage. Mark Cairns x4 (8) made it 3-1
however Peter Gotts x4 (8) and Kevin Brooks x9
(18) made it 5-1. Davie Mochan x16 (32) then
beat Eddie Kimber with team-mate Davey
Whitehead x8 (16) securing victory against
Mark Cairns. Warrick Rochester x20 (40) then
made it 8-1 after he beat Mike Slight however
a win for Rob Purvis x20 (60) against Peter
Gotts made it 8-2. Davey Richardson then hit
an excellent 16 dart leg taking out tops (40)
against Keegan Cairns with Kevin Brooks x2 (4)
also winning against Graham Patterson. The
score finished Legion Bar 2 Wouldhave 10. Davey Whitehead secures victory for Wouldhave
Steamboat hosted the Westoe Room Originals with the first six legs all going against the throw as Brian Booth
x14 (36), Chris Allen x8 (16) and x20 (40) finished for the hosts and John McManemy x16 (32), David Hayes Jr
x10 (85) and Lenny Stephenson x2 (4) replying for the Originals. Stevie Graham x2 (5) gave the visitors the lead
for the first time when he beat Brian Booth, team-mate David Hayes Jr x2 (4) also winning against James Lewis.
John Green x8 (16) and Chris Allen x20 (60) however pulled the game level at 5-5 as they respectively beat
John McManemy and Gary Thompson. Peter Buglass x16 (50) then took out an 18-dart leg against Brian
Clifford before Derek Hardie x20 (40) beat Lenny Stephenson to draw level. The final score finished Steamboat
6 Westoe Room Originals 6.
Vigilant Inn were hosts to Trimmers Arms with Harry Faulkner x5 (40) and Bob Compton x5 (20) giving them a
2-0 advantage before Shaun Wilson x16 (32) pulled a leg back. It was soon 5-1 as Davey Turner x8 (16), Stan
Elliott x4 (8) and Billy Keenan x12 with a 104 finish. Ken Wilson x1 (4) pulled a leg back against Davey Turner as
did team-mate Craig Scurfield x16 (32) win he beat Colin Drake. Bob Compton x6 (24) however made it 6-3
when he beat Willie Smyllie with team-mate Stan Elliott x2 (4) securing the match when he beat Keith
Tinmouth. Harry Faulkner x1 (4) also won against Scott Young however team-mate Billy Keenan lost to Shaun
Wilson x16 (32) to make the final score Vigilant Inn 8 Trimmers Arms 4.
The final match in Division One had hosts Prince Edward A playing Legion Bar, the match moved to the Legion
due to refurbishment. The final score finished Prince Edward A 7 Legion Bar 5.
Boldon Lad leaders in Division Two were visitors to Voyager A with Eddie Gutteridge x5 (10), Paul Lambert Jr x4
(8), Sean Cavanagh x16 (32) and Eddie Gutteridge x1 (2) giving them a 4-0 advantage before Carson McKeith x8
(16) got the hosts first point. Phil Armstrong x20 (48) made it 5-1 going into the singles. Brian McKenna x4 (8)
made it 6-1 when he beat Liam Wardley, team-mate Eddie Gutteridge x5 (40) securing victory with his win
against Lee McKeith. Paul Lambert Jr x20 (40) also won against John McIlroy however father Paul Lambert Sr
was beaten by Carson McKeith x8 (37). The last two legs went the way of the visitors as Sean Cavanagh x1 (2)
beat Darren McKeith and Phil Armstrong x20 (85) beat Martin Goddard to make the final score Voyager A 2
Boldon Lad 10. The result all but secures the Boldon Lad’s promotion with four games remaining as they have
a 46 point lead over third placed Cranny with only 48 on offer.
The Cranny in third were gifted a 12-0 walkover as the Mariner were unable to field a team for the game due
to be played at the Marsden Rose and Crown as a result of the Cranny undergoing refurbishment.
Second placed Prince Edward B travelled to play the White Ensign who have now relocated to the White Horse
for the remainder of the season. Stevie Hale x1 (2) gave the Prince the lead with Graeme Welch x1 (2) levelling
however Davey Boulter x5 (10), Stevie Hale (180) x10 (20), Davey Boulter x19 (38) and Micky Butler x1 (2)
made it 5-1 to the visitors. It was soon 6-1 as Stevie hale x2 (4) beat Steve Gray and 7-1 as Chrissy Hughes x15
(30) secured victory when he beat Davy Johnson. The last four legs also went to the visitors as Stevie Buckett
x1 (2) beat Graeme Welch, Davey Boulter x10 (40) beat Stewart Henderson, Micky Butler x1 (4) beat Peter
Goodsir and Chris Allen x1 (7) beat Dean Adamson to make the final score White Horse 1 Prince Edward B 11.
The County visitors to the Red Hackle B led 4-0 courtesy of Stephen Gibson x5 (10), x4 (9), Carl Costellox19
(38), and Stephen Gibson x16 (68) before Micky Overend x2 (5) got the hosts first point. Carl Costello x1 (2) the
made it 5-1. Callum Costello x7 (20) beat Ian Kelly to make it 6-1 with team-mate Stephen Gibson x16 (47)
hitting his fourth double in a win over Ray Pearce to secure the match. Allan Hoare and ray Patrick also won
respectively against Micky Overend and Steven Sams to make the score 9-1 however Aaron Fontaine x20 (80)
pulled a leg back against Peter Scott to make it 9-2. Carl Costello x4 (8) secured the last leg against Stephen
Jones to make the final score Red Hackle B 2 County Hotel 10.
Jordan Rossiter x10 (20) gave visitors New Mill a 1-0 lead against hosts Nomads at Harton Welfare before
David Smith x1 (2) levelled. Jordan Rossiter x7 (20), David Farrell x2 (5) and Ronnie Thomas x10 (20) then made
it 4-1 to the Mill before Tommy Purvis x4 (22) pulled a leg back. Eric Wetherill x18 (39) made it 4-3 after he bet
Sean Foster however wins for David Farrell x20 (65) over John Bennett and Chris Bennett x10 (20) against
David Smith made it 6-3 to the Mill. Billy Trump x2 (4) pulled a leg back against Ronnie Thomas only for a Gary
Reay x1 (2) win against Willie Sykes securing victory for the visitors. Jordan Rossiter x20 (40) also won against
Tommy Purvis to make the final score Harton & Westoe Nomads 4 New Mill 8.
The final match featured hosts Morgans against Green Baize A with Doug Fontaine x7 (14), Paul Kirton x11
(22), Doug Fontaine x1 (2) and Paul Ali x20 (65) giving the baize a 4-0 lead. John MacMillan x5 (10) got the
hosts first point before Nick Taylor x1 (2) replied to give the visitors a 5-1 lead. Paul Ali x20 (40) made it 6-1
after he beat John Elliott with Paul Kirton x20 (64) securing victory against Brian Mulvain. Albert Watson x5
(10), Gavin Lee Simpson Jr x5 (11) and Nick Taylor also won respectively against John MacMillan, Jamie
McNaney and Craig Chandler before John Black x10 (20) won the last leg for the hosts against Doug Fontaine,

CUP: Westoe Bar hosted Kennedys A in the first Cup semi-final trailing 5-7 on aggregate. Kennedys started well
as Jeff Gibson x16 (102), Stevie Armstrong x16 (32) and Derek Gibson x12 (24) put them 3-0 up before Micky
Mizen x16 (32) and Davey Barnes x16 (48) pulled two legs back. It was soon 4-2 however as Jeff Gibson x16
(32) finished in the final pairs. Brian Abdou x18 then made it 5-2 when he beat Micky Mizen to put the
favourites one leg from qualifying for the final however Chris Blacklock x20 (76) beat Stevie Armstrong to give
the hosts a glimmer of hope. Ernie Hudson x16 however beat Paul Hunter to secure Kennedys passage to the
final and make the game score 6-3, with Davey Barnes x4 getting a consolation win against Norman Davison.
Jeff Gibson (180) x16 (52) then hit a 17-dart leg win against Peter Bassett (180) before brother Derek Gibson’s
loss to Keith Nicholson x16 (52) in the last leg. The match finished Westoe Bar 5 Kennedys A 7, with the
aggregate score 10-14.
Boldon Lad hosted Wouldhave in the second leg of their Cup semi-final leading 8-4 on aggregate. Davie
Mochan x20 (40) gave the visitors a 1-0 lead before Sean Cavanagh x10 920) levelled, however it was soon 3-1
to the visitors after Davey Whitehead x20 (64) and Warrick Rochester x1 (2) finished. Paul Lambert Jr x7 (40)
made it 3-2 however a Davey Whitehead x1 (5) reply put the Wouldhave 4-2 up. Brian McKenna x1 (4() made it
4-3 when he beat Davie Mochan however wins for Warrick Rochester x8 (76) against Sean Cavanagh and
Davey Richardson x8 (25) with a 17-dart leg against Paul Lambert Jr gave the visitors a 6-3 advantage. Tommy
Ward x1 (2) beat Peter Gotts to make it 6-4 however a Davey Whitehead x1 (2) victory against Eddie
Gutteridge made it 7-4 and 11-12 on aggregate. The Lads blushes were saved as Phil Armstrong x10 (20)
secured the tie when he beat Kevin Brooks in the last leg to ensure a 13-11 aggregate win for the Lad, although
the match finished Boldon Lad 5 Wouldhave 7 on the night.
The first match for the Cup minor placings (5th to 8th) was played between hosts Legion Bar and the Steamboat
with the latter leading 8-4 after the first leg. Derek Hardie x16 (51) gave the Steamboat a 1-0 lead before Neil
Drummond x16 (32) and Colin Hume x5 (10) replied. Derek Hardie x20 (71) finished again only for Phil Young
x17 (34) to reply. Chris Allen x16 (47) then levelled the scores at 3-3 going into the singles. Neil Drummond x8
(16) put the Legion back in front when he beat Brian Booth only for the Derek Hardie (180) x9 (35) to level
against Stephen Tate. Team-mate Brian Clifford x16 (35) then secured the tie for the Boatmen as he beat Phil
Young however Jackie Stephenson x1 (2) levelled against John Green. Darren Wilkie x6 (24) edged out the
hosts Dave Allen with team-mate Chris Allen x2 (4) also winning against Colin Hume to make the final score
Legion Bar 5 Steamboat 7, and 9-15 on aggregate.
The final match in the cup saw hosts Cranny unable to field a side and as a consequence lost by 12-0 against
visitors Prince Edward A, the Prince running out 20-4 aggregate winners.
TROPHY: In the first Trophy semi-final Westoe

holding a 9-3 first leg advantage. The visitors
raced into a 3-0 lead as David Hayes Jr x16

(65) all finished before Rob Purvis x16 (45) got
the hosts on the board. Kurt Burgess x20 (78)
finished again to make it 4-1 and secure the tie
on aggregate before Graham Patterson x16
(47) made it 4-2. John Nielsen x6 (12) made it
5-2 with his win against Keegan Cairns, Stevie
Graham x1 (2) also winning against Rob Purvis
and star-man Kurt Burgess (180) hitting an 18-
dart leg against Mark Cairns to make it 7-2 and

finish and succumbed to Mike Slight who hit an excellent 94 finish on double 17. David Hayes Jr x2 (4) then
won the last leg against Graham Patterson to make the final score Voyager B 3 Westoe Room Originals 9 and
an 18-6 aggregate victory.
The second semi-final featured hosts Bridge Hotel against Vigilant Inn, with the latter holding an 8-4
advantage. Billy Keenan x4 (16) put the Vig further ahead before Chris Ward x20 (55) levelled. It was soon 4-1
to the visitors as Davy Graham x4 (16), x1 (2) and unknown x7 (14) finished with John Charlton x8 (16) making
it 4-2. Douglas Hart x4 (8) made it 4-3 against Davy Graham with team-mate Chris Ward x4 (55) also winning
against Billy Keenan to level the scores. Harry Faulkner x8 (16) saved Vig’s blushes when he secured the tie as
he beat Bernie Massingham with Ian Jowsey x8 (16) replying for the hosts against Stan Elliott. Alan Shaw x6
(12) put the hosts ahead for the first time when he beat Colin Drake only for Bob Compton x13 (26) to level
against John Charlton as the match finished Bridge Hotel 6 Vigilant Inn 6, 10-14 overall.

the match finely balanced at 6-6. The Hackle lads put the tie almost out of reach going into the singles as they
led 6-0 after Micky Overend x20 (40), Ray Pearce x2 (4), Ian Kelly x16 (32), Micky Overend x16 (32), Ray Pearce
x16 (33) and Stephen Jones x20 (60) finished. Aaron Fontaine x1 (4) then secured the tie after he beat Stewart
Henderson, making the score 7-0, team-mate Micky Overend x16 (32) also winning against Steve Gray. Dave
Johnson x4 (8) got the Horse lads on the scoreboard when he beat Ray Pearce with team-mates Davie Johnson
x8 (16) and Kenny Gray x20 (40) also winning respectively against Shay Hughes and Stephen Jones. Ian Kelly x2
(4) won the last match against Peter Goodsir, making the final score White Horse 3 Red Hackle B 9, 9-15
overall.
The final Trophy match featured Green Baize A at home to Prince Edward B, the visitors holding a 9-3 lead
going into the match.
PLATE: The first Plate semi-final featured Buzzers Sports bar at home to Trimmers Arms, the latter holding an
8-4 advantage going into the tie. Buzzers led 2-0 after David Bell x16 (51) and John Bird x7 (14) finished before
Shaun Wilson x20 (40) replied. Buzzers then won the next three legs to lead 5-1 (9-9 overall) after Darren
Franks x1 (2), David Bell x18 (54) and debutant Steven Walsh x18 (54) finished. Carl Cairns x8 (16) made it 5-2
when he beat James Main with Keith Tinmouth x1 (2) also winning against Darren Franks. Scott Young x10 (54)
made it 5-4 when he beat John Bird and team-mate Shaun Wilson x1 (2) secured the tie when he beat David
Bell. James Coffey x6 (12) also won against Liam Wasmuth to put the visitors ahead for the first time in the
match however a win for Steven Walsh x1 (2) against Willie Smyllie made the final score Buzzers Sports Bar 6
Trimmers Arms 6.
The second semi saw New Mill host Morgans with the visitors holding a slender 7-5 advantage. The hosts
raced into a 3-0 lead as David Farrell x7 (14), Chris Bennett x1 (2) and Jordan Rossiter x10 (23) finished. Jamie
McNaney x16 (35) reduced the deficit before David Farrell x9 (18) made it 4-1 however Paul Gilmour with a 50
finish on the bull levelled the overall score at 9-9 though 4-2 down on the night. Jamie McNaney also hit a bull
as he finished on 89 to beat Darren Lamb with team-mate John Elliott x20 (40) also winning against Chris
Bennett. A win for David Farrell x16 (32) against Dean Ford made it 5-4 with Anth Allsopp x18 (36) levelling the
aggregate score at 11-11. Paul Gilmour’s x7 (14) win against Jordan Rossiter put the visitors in pole position
and it was team-mate Craig Chandler who levelled the match when beating Gary Reay who secured the overall
victory in the tie. The score finished New Mill 6 Morgans 6 however more importantly 11-13 on aggregate.
The first match in the Plate lower placings (21st to 24th) saw County Hotel with a 9-3 lead host Mariner. Ray
Patrick x1 (2) and x1 (2) gave the County a 2-0 lead before Alfie Maine x4 (8) got five-man Mariner on the
scoresheet. Ray Patrick x1 (2) finished again with Leigh Betts x4 (8) and Alfie Maine x20 (40) levelling. Steven
Dee x12 (44) gave the Mariner the lead as he beat Callum Costello before a Ray Patrick walkover made it 4-4.
Team-mate Alan Hoare x2 (4) made it 5-4 however Leigh Betts x10 (40) levelled. Bett’s team-mate Mike
Murrell x6 (24) then gave the visitors the lead against Carl Costello and it was Alfie Maine x9 who secured the
five-man visitors the victory as he beat Daniel Spiller, making the final score County Hotel 5 Mariner 7. It
wasn’t however enough as the County progressed 14-10 on aggregate.
The final match featured Harton & Westoe Nomads against visitors Voyager A, the latter 9-3 ahead after the
first leg.

League leaders Kennedys A hosted the Wouldhave with Brian Abdou x1 (2) giving them the early lead. The
Wouldhave however replied with a vengeance as they took the next four legs to lead 4-1, Davey Richardson x2
(4), Davey Whitehead x4 (25), Davie Mochan x10 (20) and Warrick Rochester x4 (8).
Brian Abdou x16 (32) checked out again to
make it 4-2. Davey Richardson x18 (36)
then made it 5-2 as he beat Stevie
Armstrong however a Derek Gibson x8 (16)
win against Davie Mochan reduced the
deficit. Norman Davison (180) then
produced an excellent leg of darts as he
won against John Ramsay in 18 darts taking
out double 18 with a 153 checkout. He is
now tied with Kevin Brooks of the
Wouldhave for the highest checkout of the
season. It was soon 5-5 as Ernie Hudson
x20 (77) won again, this time against
Warrick Rochester with Brian Abdou x20
(52) also winning against Kevin Brooks. Jeff
Gibson x1 (5) then secured the match as he
beat Davey Whitehead in a close
competitive match, the final score finishing

Norman Davison 180, 153 checkout and an 18-dart leg
Westoe Bar hanging onto the slim hopes of catching Kennedys were away to the Bridge who led 1-0 courtesy
of Ian Jowsey x1 (2). Paul Johnson x20 (74) and Micky Mizen x20 (60) put the visitors 2-1 ahead however Ian
Jowsey x1 (119) levelled. Paul Johnson x4 (8) and Chris Blacklock x20 (40) won the last two pairs for the
Westoe as they led 4-2 heading into the singles. Ian Jowsey x2 (4) hit his third finish when beating Paul Hunter
with team-mate Bernie Massingham x17 (34) beating Keith Nicholson to level the scores. Paul Johnson (180)
x11 (22) got the Westoe ahead again when he beat John Charlton only for Alan Shaw x10 (40) to level against
Micky Mizen. Chris Blacklock x10 (20) then beat Lawrence Healy to edge Westoe in front again and team-mate
Davey Barnes x10 (20) secured the victory when he beat Kevin Lees.
Westoe Room were visitors to the Legion Bar with Dean Apes x5 (40) giving the visitors the early lead. It was
soon 2-1 to the Bar however as Dave Allen x8 (16) and Colin Hume x16 (62) replied however Peter Buglass x16
(41) levelled. Phil Young x16 (32) put the Bar back in front however Lenny Stephenson x20 (40) levelled the
scores going into the singles. John Neilson x20 (40) beat George Coser to edge the Originals ahead with Peter
Buglass (180) x16 (92) making it 5-3 with an excellent 17-dart leg win over Dave Allen. The excellent Phil Young
(180) was pipped by David Hayes Jr x4 (16) as the away side went 6-3 ahead. Team-mate Dean Apes x2 (4)
then secured the match as he finally overcame Jackie Stephenson however team-mate Lenny Stephenson was
beaten by Neil Drummond x9 (39) the match finishing Legion Bar 4 Westoe Room Originals 8.
Buzzers hosted the Vigilant Inn who led 2-0 after Stan Elliott x10 (80) and Davy Graham x16 (48) finished only

Plate Final: Trimmers were host to Morgans in the Plate Final first leg, Scott Young x20 giving them an early
lead before Morgans went 2-1 ahead after John Black x1 and Jamie McNaney x20 replied. It was soon 4-2 to
the hosts as James Coffey x20, Ken Wilson x16 and Shaun Wilson x8 finished. John MacMillan x12 pulled a leg
back against Keith Tinmouth however James Coffey x1 beat John Black and team-mate Willie Smyllie x1 beat
Dean Ford to make it 6-3 to the hosts. John Elliott beat Ken Wilson to pull a leg back however Shaun Wilson
then beat Craig Chandler to secure the tie with Jamie McNaney beating Scott Young to make the final score

Plate 19th/20th Play-off: Buzzers hosted the New Mill in the 19th placed play-off, the first five legs going against
the throw as John Bird x14 (28), Liam Wasmuth x8 (16) and David Bell x7 (14) finished for the hosts, Anth
Allsopp x7 (14) and Jordan Rossiter x16 (45) replying. James Main x10 (20) made it 5-2 when he beat Anth
Allsopp however Jordan Rossiter x6 (12) made it 5-3 when he beat John Bird. A David Bell x7 (20) win against
Gary Reay made it 6-3 with Darren Franks x5 (10) securing a first leg victory when he beat David Farrell. Team-
mate Liam Wasmuth x8 (32) also won against Darren Lamb however Paul Hawthorne lost out to Chris Bennett
x8 (16) as the score finished Buzzers Sports Bar 8 New Mill 4.
Plate 21st/22nd Play-off: County Hotel were visitors to Voyager A with the hosts 2-0 to the good after Martin
Goddard x15 (30) and Carson McKeith x8 (16) finished. Danny Hurst x1 (2), Stephen Gibson x8 (42), Daniel
Spiller x1 (2) and Danny Hurst x10 (80) gave the County a 4-2 advantage heading into the singles. Stephen
Gibson (180) x6 (12) made it 5-2 as he beat John McIlroy however team-mate Carl Costello (180) lost out to
Carson McKeith x8 (32). Daniel Spiller x1 (2) restore the County lead against Martin Goddard only for Geoff
Calvert x1 (2) to level against Alan Hoare. Danny Hurst x8 (16) put the visitors ahead again however Lee
McKeith’s x2 (4) win against Callum Costello made the final score Voyager A 6 County Hotel 6.
Plate 23rd/24th Play-Off: The match between Mariner and Harton & Westoe Nomads was postponed due to a
funeral. The tie for the minor placings will be contested as a one-off match at the Mariner.
