   Title:  Thea  Stilton  Journey  to  Atlantis    Author:  Thea  Stilton  About:  The  Thea  sisters  were  on  vacation  until  Paulina,  one  of  the  Thea  sisters,  found  a  blue-­‐skinned  boy  washed  up  on  the  beach  of  Whale  Island  who  speaks  an  unknown  language.  It’s  up  to  the  Thea  sisters  to  figure  out  where  he  is  from.  Would  the  Thea  Sisters  be  able  to  help  him  get  back  home?  Main  characters:  Nicky,  Colette,  Paulina,  Violet,  Pamela  and  Thea  Stilton.  Settings:  Mouseford  Academy,  South  America,  Antarctica,  Ethiopqia  and  Whale  Island.  Rating:  **********  10/10  Recommended  For:  Age  8-­‐20  Opinion:  I  like  it  because  it  has  great  illustrations  and  an  interesting  storyline.  It  is  a  special  edition.  The  characters  are  fascinating  to  read  about.  I  also  think  it  is  a  positive  story.  

How  dogs  are  like  wolves?  Dogs  are  related  to  grey  wolves.  They  are  the  same  species.    Dogs  and  wolves  are  both  quick  and  fast.  Dogs  pant  to  keep  them  cool  in  the  summer  time,  so  do  wolves.  They  both  have  a  strong  sense  of  smell  and  danger.  The  differences  between  dog  and  wolves  are:  dogs  live  in  houses  with  adults  and  kids.  But  wolves  live  in  the  wild  most  of  the  time  they  can  live  with  people  if  need.

Interview:  Thea  Sisters    Interviewer:  Hi,  today  we’re  interviewing  a  group  of  cartoon  mammals  in  a  book  series:  The  Thea  Sisters.  What  do  you  do  to  solve  crimes  and  mysteries  together?    Nicky:  G’day,  I’m  Nicky.  In  the  team,  I’m  always  in  a  good  mood  when  outdoors.    Colette:  Bonjour  je’me  pielle  Colette.  In  the  team,  if  we  come  across  a  door  with  a  lock  with  no  keys  around  or  we  can’t  find  one,  i  use  one  of  my  furpins  like  a  key;  I’m  also  energetic  and  full  of  great  ideas.    Paulina:  Hi,  I’m  Paulina.  In  the  team,  I’m  a  computer  genius,  i  love  traveling  around  the  world  and  meeting  other  rodents.    Violet:  Ni  hao,  I’m  Violet.  In  the  team,  I’m  detail-­‐oriented  and  always  open  to  new  things.    Interview:  Nicky,  why  can’t  you  stand  small  tight  spaces?    Nicky:  Because  i  suffer  from  claustrophobia,  an  extreme  fear  of  tiny  spaces.  So  that’s  why  i  enjoy  the  outdoors.    Interviewer:  Colette,  you  don’t  like  messing  up  your  hair  right?    Colette:  What  is  hair?    Interviewer:  The  human  word  for  fur.    Colette:  Of  course  i  hate  my  fur  getting  mess  up,  i  just  can’t  stand  being  teased  by  one  of  the  Thea  sisters  or  some  other  rodent  but  they  only  tease  me  sometimes  on  the  other  paw,  they  help  me  sometimes.  Whenever  i  got  teased  by  one  of  the  Thea  sisters  or  another  rodent,  i  poke  my  tongue  playfully.  It  usually  helps  i  guess.    Interviewer:  Paulina,  what  happened  to  your  parents  since  they  left  on  Christmas  Eve?    Paulina:  **sniffs**  I  don’t  know  but  it  happened  a  long  time  ago.  It  was  a  sad  Christmas;  my  sister  Maria  wouldn’t  even  crack  a  smile  because  our  parents  left,  we’ve  tried  everything  we  could  but  it  didn’t  work.  So  Professor  Sagefur,  a  friend  of  my  Mom  and  Dad’s  dressed  up  as  Santamouse  and  finally,  Maria  smiled.    Interviewer:  Tell  me  why  were  you  were  called  Violet?    Violet:  It  started  the  day  i  was  born,  a  violet  flower  bloomed  in  the  greenhouse,  so  Grandpa  Chen  decided  to  call  me  ‘Zi  Iuolan’  which  means  ‘Violet’  in  chinese.    Interviewer:  Pamela,  you  bring  your  wrench  everywhere  you  go  right  and  why?    Pamela:  Oh  yes,  can’t  leave  without  my  wrench.  I  bring  it  just  in  case  there  is  a  mechanic  job  to  do.    Interviewer:  How  many  books  are  in  the  Thea  Stilton  series  so  far?    Paulina:  17  Thea  Stilton  books,  1  special  edition  and  coming  soon,  two  graphic  novels.  We  can’t  wait  to  check  them  out.    Interviewer:  Who  is  the  actual  author  of  the  Thea  Stilton  series?    Violet:  Elisabetta  Dami  is  the  actual  author  and  Emily  Clement  does  the  English  translate  since  its  actually  made  in  Italy.    Interviewer:  And  that  is  all  for  the  interview  with  the  Thea  Sisters,  bye.    Nicky:  G’bye.    Colette:  Au  revoir.    Paulina:  Bye.    Violet:  Bye.    Pamela:  Bye  bye.        

     

How  to  survive  a  leopard  attack    A  leopard  is  chasing  you  in  the  jungle?    Want  to  escape?  Then  here  it  is,  how  to  survive  a  leopard  attack  has  all  the  information  you  need.    What  you  need:  • Strong  legs  • Loud  voice  • Courage  • Clothes  to  blend  in  

 1. What  to  do  while  the  leopard  is  chasing  you:  So,  the  leopard  is  chasing  after  you.  Do  not  play  dead  because  the  leopard  will  mistake  you  as  a  dead  gazelle  and  do  not  climb  a  tree,  leopards  can  climb  as  well.  Run  as  fast  as  you  can,  if  you  trip  over,  get  up  and  keep  going.    

2. Blending  in:  So  your  running  as  fast  as  you  can  now,  jump  out  of  the  way  so  the  leopard  is  running  straight  but  is  not  chasing  you.  Find  a  piece  of  your  clothing  and  blend  in  something.  When  the  leopard  looks  up  and  realizes  you’re  not  being  chased,  the  leopard  stops  and  looks  for  you.  If  the  leopard  doesn’t  see  you,  you’re  safe,  if  it  does,  try  this  next  step.  

 3. Make  loud  noises:  The  leopard  is  chasing  you;  yell  “Stop”  and  the  leopard  stops.  Now  make  any  loud  noises  to  scare  it,  if  so,  the  leopard  runs  away  and  you’re  safe.  

 Now  you  survived  the  leopard  attack?  Good,  now  you  know  how  to  survive  a  leopard  attack  in  case  you’re  in  the  jungle.
