It is truly the lifeline of the nation and lays emphasis on human resource development. There are around 17000 officers of different levels in IR. National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR), the apex training institute and six other Centralised Training Institutes conduct training for Officers of Indian Railways. There are 300 training centres for non-Gazetted staff and ensure that staff are provided skills to perform multiple functions ranging from train operation, safety, maintenance of assets, marketing, logistics to security and hospitality. For bringing about cultural transformation in Indian Railways, NAIR invites Expression of Interest (EoI) from eminent agencies/institutes/experts for conducting Workshops/ToT course on Emotional Intelligence for senior officers of Indian Railways. NAIR has already done EI course for about 95 GMs/DRMs and now plan to conduct such course for other about 225 Senior Officers like Additional Divisional Railway Managers (ADRM), Chief Workshop Managers (CWMs) of Railways and Faculty of Training Institutes. Detailed guidelines are given as under: A. G. Duration and location-The programme would be for three days. Workshop may beconducted at either of the following Centralized Training Institutes (CTIs) ofIR :

H. Training of Trainers (ToT) course - In addition to the workshop on EmotionalIntelligence, it is also proposed to conduct a course on "Training of Trainers in EmotionalIntelligence" for training a set of Railway officers to create a pool of officers capable ofconducting Emotional Intelligence Workshops for other Railway officers /executives. Theduration of the ToT course will be for 5 days. The ToT course on EI will have all theelements of the Workshops plus intensive coaching, examination and certification toconduct EI workshops/courses and administer the psychometric tools. The ToT course willbe conducted at National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) at Vadodara.

I. Credentials of the agencies - Interested agencies/institutes/experts must be qualified in thefield and should have expertise and long-standing experience in conductingcourses/workshops in the field of emotional intelligence for senior executives and managers,especially in Government and Public sectors in India. Only globally certified trainers/Institutes with authority to administer different types of psychometric tools are encouragedto apply.

Interested agencies/institutes/experts offering other psychrometric tools than those speciallymentioned in Para 'F' will have to demonstrate following:

I. Psychometric Tool is globally acknowledged and authorised by the parentcompany

2. They have capacity to conduct courses here in India at Railway premises3. They have experience of having given training in GovernmentallPSU setup
