Welcome to FlowerfestFlowerfest celebrates the horticultural heritage of the Clyde Valley. The valley, known for growing tomatoes until imports became cheaper, is now a destination for

gardeners throughout the Central Belt with its flourishing Garden Centres.

The Royal Burgh of Lanark lies at the head of the Garden Valley, and boasts Castlebank Park, perched above the River Clyde, with the restored Castlebank Gardens and

Horticultural Centre, which is also home to Lanark in Bloom which keeps the town looking colourful all summer.

Lanark is also a hub for river and countryside walks including the trail round Lanark Loch.

The theme for Flowerfest 2019 is THE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL WORLD CUP which takes place in France in

June and for which Scotland’s Ladies have qualified.
