General Membership Meeting Recap

President’s Report• Ben & Gail attended the Wausau workshop last month (motion carried to reim-

burse cost). They attended courses on Trails, Insurance, and Websites.• Motion carried to offer hesitant landowners the added incentive of having our

insurance company cover them if any legal issues arise (only upon request). This costs the clube $10.00 per request.

• Under our current plan, our insurance will not cover a club event if beer or liquor is sold by us. An outside agency with a valid liquor license (a local bar, for example) would be able to sell the product, and donate the proceeds back to the club. George Kuechle will follow up with business liability issues.

• Gail spoke with the county and it is OK for us to make handwritten additions to the Landowner Agreement forms. Rick Long is working on compiling a contact list for all of our landowners.

• A check for $850.00 was mailed to the landowner at A&E. This will be the last monetary payment made. They are still requesting the planting of the trees. Some of the posts that were installed had been taken down by four wheelers; the landowner was notified of this, and we will reinstall them for their conve-nience. We did install the “no snowmobiling” signs.

Treasurer’s Report• Ending account balance of $24,209.09, minus debits after the statement clos-

ing date of 11/08/11.Trails• Larry Main contacted Baribou Implement and the mower has been fixed• Many of the trails have been cleaned up and are ready to go. However, there is

still a lot of work to be done. Trails 41, 140, 22, & 8 all need to be visited, and Ben Keup is looking for volunteers to help with the effort.

Grooming• Larry Main and others would like to see a menu board on the trail as you enter

Burnett County on Trail 41. Larry Main will follow up with Greg Brady.• We are in need of volunteers to run the groomer.Membership• We are missing payments from some of the businessesFundraising• Club ride has been set for January 29 - 31. Please see third page for complete

information.
