Anyone under the age of 26 must have a boating certificate from North Carolina or Home State. Following Labor Day and sub-ject to lake levels and weather conditions, reservations for boat rentals may be made by calling the Office of Member Services.

The boat rental program is available for Trillium Links and Lake Club members, House Guests of members and House

Guests that are staying in homes at Trillium. House Guests are required to provide credit card information and a

Guest Card identification number prior to renting a boat, and can only rent during

hours of operation. Trillium Links and Lake Club members may request to rent a boat

after hours on a case by case basis.

Lakefront AmenitiesTrillium Links & Lake Club members are fortunate to have access to the pristine waters of Lake Glenville. Offering elevations higher than any other lake east of the Mississippi, beautiful mountains and lush forests surround its 26 miles of shoreline. Lake Glenville is a spectacular venue to enjoy a multitude of activities. The Club offers it’s members the opportunity to reserve a boat slip while in residence and a variety of recreational boats that are available to rent.

Rental Rules and Regulations

• The person responsible for renting a boat must be familiar with boat operation and safety. A person younger than 26 years old who is unaccompanied may operate a vessel with a motor of 10 horsepower or greater on North Carolina waters only-if he or she completes and passes a boating safety course that is approved by NASBLA and is accepted by the Wildlife Resources Commission. The North Carolina boater safety certification card must be made available upon request. The boating safety course is offered online at www.boat-ed.com/nc/index.

• If there is alcohol on the boat, there must be a designated driver.

• Pets are not permitted on rental boats, unless authorized by the dock attendant prior to departure.

• The responsible party renting the boat is liable for damage due to misuse, negligence, and loss or damage to equipment. In cases where exceptional abuse is noted, the responsible party may be charged additional cleaning or repair fees.

• All boaters are asked to use the long-term parking available in the upper most parking area, above The Landings. Boaters are requested not to park their cars in the parking area designated for those who are dining at The Landings. Repeated offenses may result in loss of boat rental privileges.

• Boaters are asked to observe the 50-foot wake zone when leaving or approaching the dock area.

Boat Rental RatesAlthough Boat Rental pricing includes gas; the rising

cost of gas might necessitate an additional surcharge for fuel.
